I have a theory that if the elite people solo'd bst to 99. They would have more patience, and be more understanding of other players, and there "gimpness." Any thoughts?

There's nothing like getting 65-75 at 4k/hour. Really makes you...something. Can't wait to get back at it =/

With everyone all exp hungry, it's not so easy.
All of the normal leveling spots are crowded with people looking for party, and forget getting a party on bst.

It goes a little something like this in linkshell -

LSmember1: Who wants to exp?
Prismat: I'll go. Campaign Battle is ending two minutes after it starts anyway.
LSmember1: .. Does bst have a piercing weapon?
Prismat: Well.. no, but I do have Nazuna and she can use rage now. Helps with the damage!
LSmember2: Can you self-skillchain as bst?
Prismat: That's Samurai level 40, so.. not in a level 76 sync, no.
LSMember1: ...
LSmember2: ...
Prismat: So...
LSmember1: LolGimpmaster
LSmember2: Fuck off, bst. You too, Nazuna.
Prismat: :(
NurseryNazuna: :(

Back in the day I solo'd summoner from 55 to 75 and a lot of my merits, so don't you preach me no patience boy!
A slow party is still a slow party!

Actually I have a lot of respect for the way you leveled your jobs.

But my point being, when I solo I expect exp to be slowish.
I party because I want the tediously monotome grind to be over fast.

When I party I expect it to give me at least 3 times the amount of exp per hour I can grind when I solo or campaign.
With any 75+ job I can get up to 6k/hour at least soloing or in campaign so I expect a exp or merit session to give me at least 3 times that number.
Which isn't hard at all to do!

Anything less and I get pissed.
If you find that that makes me one of those so called 'elitist' you'd better stay away from me.

Thanks =), it's fun and I like going at my own pace/free from people.

Still, a tiny bit more serious side, what made you write this Taritzu?

Am I going to be the only blunt one?

Ok....

That is a dumb theory.

No like REALLY dumb.

I went from 1-75 bst with a couple of duos in there, but really.. As glorious as it should be(used to be), being able to say you solo'd your job about 97% of the way, nobody cares anymore.

Except that guy there. He respeks, and others should too.

Still, I went to 75 on my own, and with every area flooded by some /dnc lunatic, I'd much rather just take it easy in a level sync party now, than camp against others for already slow exp.

Please invite me. :)

As an old BST and having lvl'd many jobs as /bst, I've come to accept that not everyone will respect BST and it's fine by me. To each his own, so long as one is civil about things and goes about his or her business in a civil manner.

PS: Randomish but kinda related to the bst and /bst soloing thing, I hold a lot of respect for you, Kiki.

sorry but I hate solo...parties are just more fun for me(plus I stink at solo)

(darn this stupid work server...where did the stack overflow go?)

Some people SHOULDN'T level BST... those who want Carrie with shell mounted laser cannons with en-deathga and to outdamage every other job class purely by virtue of leaving their MH. Also personally I dislike party BSTs but that's just me - I've duoed staticly to 78 so far. This current batch of levelling is frustrating me somewhat as there's a lack of decent camps for duo with a good pet-prey level split though.
