I watched what seemed a dancer stun the imp songs. This happened a few times. if any one else has seen this or a dancer that has done this please post.

He's probably referring to Violent Flourish, which has an added effect: stun. While it's an instantaneous move, it'd still take some pretty good reflexes to be able to stun a tantara.

plus it only has 3 tp moves so most likely he will use same one again, after the stun

cant SE meet us halfway and make amnesia erasable damnit!!! >.<

Imps haven't been aggroing me when I think they should. Yesterday I ran by three, I don't know if they had just recently popped, but I ran back near them with no aggro.

was the dancer using stun kukri as well? iirc i've seen a dnc have them on around that level, proc rate on added effects are low but i've seen them proc a few times

More accurately, either 2 TP moves or 1 TP move, depending on if its horn is currently broken or not. (Realistically this usually just means 2 TP moves, since breaking their horns is uncommon.)

I was in a 70' party recently with a Dark knight and Dancer and between them they were keeping the Imp's nicely dizzy with various stuns and tp moves. We may have just ran across the local wimp Imps in the mire though, who knows. :)

I partied against imps for several hours as dnc around 67-68. Violent Flourish does work, but I'd say it only actually stunned maybe 30-40% of the time. I've used stun kurki+1 a LOT as thf (I use it as off hand), and while it has saved me a few times, it's not something that I'd actually count on due to the (obviously) very low proc rate.

Use stutter step. If you get it to Lv2-3 your stun will land nearly every time assuming the hit connects. Stutter step also lowers enfeeb resistance (at least for stuns) along with magic defense.

Thanks

It was not a stun dagger, but the point was to see if others have seen dancer stun the move. i don't know about you, but them damn imps always did that move when i got 100 tp. So stunning it 30~40% of the time means 30~40% more ws's that can get through. Anyway thanks for responding and verifying that dancer can stun it.

I get good results with that Stun on my Platinum Grip when using a 2-handed weapon the stun does affect the little pains.

Y'know...I heard Leviathan was immune to amnesia. I might hafto go test this myself, but if this is in fact the case, would Barwatera perhaps lessen the duration of the tantara?

It's not that he is immune, it is actually fire-based. He and Ifrit will both evade it, but who the hell wants to use Ifrit's BP?

They explode when the SMN bloodpacts and three DD ws at the same time? Yeah, I noticed that too. :P
