Something New

So... >.> how goes it? I got to thinking of a means to effect a glass shard look. I've not quite gotten the 'gloss' idea unless Photoshop has that effect.

Cut up the main picture into the shards. Copy them and shift the top layer in the appropriate direction that would make the light effect realistic. Then, the edge that should be dark, you can either flatten the shards into bitmaps and color it in, or run a translucent path along the edges!

So I spent most of today working on tihs recolor. Benn trying to practice working around hair and really detailed things. -.-; Was a fuckin pain in the ass, but i finished!

original is better, only cause I like brown eyes/dark hair over green=X

Everything but the eyes and the hair look better. Had you used any other race for the comparison the recolor probably would have won out.

She looks too racially confused. The green eyes and lighter hair don't do her justice.
Don't kill me. It's constructive criticism at least!

Yeah I totally get what you're saying. I had originally had her a deep red, but i thought it stood out too much. When I get home tonight I'll post that one was well,
 
I love both the Om and Utada! And want them for my desktop! (1280x1024 btw ;D ) Perhaps Utada with the text, only because not everyone knows who she is.
 
The first one: Is that Yu Yevon? It looks awesome, the colors are amazing

The second two: I'd say both but I'd go with the text, since it only adds a bit more to the collage of colors.

The first one is to go along with the theme of my website (if it ever gets biult) lol...

I like the Utada pic without the writing better, but they both turned out well..

I dunno if I like this or not. I think it's too neutral for my tastes. But her hair was being a pain in my ass.. so I didn't render her first.. meh..
