Song Duration

I heard there ways to increase duration of certain songs. It seems my songs only last about 2 minutes and am told I can make em last longer. I was also told stacking on CHR helps it, but i see no differences. Am i not doing it right or is it just a rumor? Any and all help is appreciated, Thank you.

No, instruments are the only way to add duration to your songs. A +1 instrument adds 10% duration(+12 seconds) while a +2 instrument adds +20% duration (+24 seconds).

CHR and skill do nothing to add to the duration of your songs.

EDIT: And Troubadour of course, doubles your duration, but that is only usable every 20 minutes, 15 if you merit it 5/5. Usually best only to use that in conjunction with Soul Voice.

Listen to wak... the man is a scholar... except for recast on 5/5 merits of night and trob is 10 min... and trob is good to have 5/5 if you wanna be brd/blm so that the timer is equal to that of elemental seal because then with 2 bards you can have elegy up for 9 min and 36 seconds pretty much guaranteed without any resist worries on stuff that will normally be very resistant to elegy (trob + ins +1 + elegy = 4:48)
