Yo, so I have this little problem. I hate the Sony PS3 controller, it's complete fail, imo. Here is why: The joysticks sit up to high, they are to agile/slick, my thumbs touch when usin' the joysticks, and the back triggers are massive fail for precision. Again, this is all my opinion, no need to finish blowin' your gasket.

None of this has been an issue because I haven't cared for a shooter on the PS3, exclusivly. I only own Folklore, Naruto, and Valkyria Chronicles and I only play non multiplayer games, Socom beta aside. I got really good at Socom but that is because of how it is played and everyone zanely strafin' instead of playin' for precision, in most cases. Really it's like this, on the 360 I will kill you with bullets, I will massacre you. On the PS3, based on the demos I've tested and Haze bots, I may kill you, irl, with laughter, but that is about it. With Killzone 2 on the way, this shit ain't happenin'.

What I'm lookin' for is a better controller. The only thing it must have over the Sony brand is lower sticks and they must also be less agile, I can deal with my thumbs touchin from time to time and I can also deal with the back triggers.

Anyone know of any good ones? I've tried the Gamestop ones, which are infinitely better in feel, but only lasted a week and the R3 and L3 buttons where to stiff to use reliably for sprintin', etc. Probably worth notin' that I've yet to play with a Dual Shock PS3 controller either, so they could have made them more like the PS2 controller, lower, less agile sticks, and I'd be fine with that, just need to know before I buy if they are the exact same with just rumble.

Be nice if you could actually find them :/ The only thing I don't like about the Keyboard and Mouse combo is the Keyboard, that'd fix that. More or less lookin' for a tighter normal controller. Was hopin' someone owned a Logitech or somethin' and liked it.

Can find frag fx online, and people who use them swear by them. Dunno myself cause I prefer the normal control. If nothing else use an adapter and 360 controller. Save cash that way.

I went to the Frag FX main site and they have them listed as pre-ordered, not actually on sell yet. A few other merchants I visited had them as pre-ordered or sold out. One site I checked had them but for $125... I didn't look very hard though nor did I check EBay, just googled for merchants.

I wasn't aware there was an adapter so thanks for that. That would very much fix my problems with the PS3 100 fold. I ordered one from Play Asia. Thanks a lot man. Now I can look forward to Killzone 2 100% instead of worryin' about how much I'll fail because of the controller, I'll also be pickin' up more shooters because of this.

NP. Btw, Ebay FragFX is about 70, still pricey considering can go into a clearancing Circuit City and get DS3s for under 40. Regular supply is all fucked up cause a new version came out last week.

I'm still interested in the Frag FX but I'll see how the XCM handles first. I'm just as good with a controller, aim wise, as I am with a mouse but I'd obviously get beat on the quick turns if its a widely used product. Then again, in games like this where it only takes a few shots to die, it wont matter in the first place. I could see it bein' really needed to play fast paced games like UT3 though.
