I've recently been effected by one of sony's screw ups and it really ticked me off. That Holiday 2004 demo disc that i got in the mail with Viewtiful Joe 2 on it screwed me over. If you have a ps2 and got the demo you know this already, but for those of you that don't know about the bug that was in the demo, i shall inform you. Sony found out that when one plays the Viewtiful Joe 2 demo, one's info on one's memory cards that are inserted at the time get deleted. Well I didn't read my e-mail before i got the demo and sure enough i saw Viewtiful Joe 2 on it and thought, hey that looks cool i think i'll play it. Then afterwords i checked my e-mail to find the following message sent from Sony. Dear PlayStation(R) Underground Member,

You are scheduled to receive the Holiday 2004 Demo Disc
including the playable Viewtiful Joe 2 - please take note.
It has just been brought to our attention that there is a
glitch in this demo which will erase all of your saved files
from your Memory Card(s). If you have not yet played the
Viewtiful Joe 2 demo, please remove your Memory Card(s)
from your PlayStation(R) 2 computer entertainment system
before you load the Holiday 2004 Demo Disc.

Sony Computer Entertainment America would like to express
our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have
caused you.
Thank God i saved all my FFVII data (which had been deleted before by a friend on accedent) onto my hard drive. I still lost all my FFX-2 data (only 2 or so hours from beating it), FFXIII, and FFIX data. Thanks a lot sony.

dude that sucks rocks. I let a friend borrow my memory card like a few months ago, and now they can't find it. So now I lost all my Monster rancher 3 and 4 data, as well as my 55% complete GTA:VC data >.<;;. I feel for ya man, all ya can really do is start over, and try to look at it like reliving the fun. ^_^

oh wow. that's cool. hehe claxton posted about me on there. It still doesn't compinsate for the loss of all my data on 2 memory cards!
