Wow.. I sat down to read this over for the past hour and man... Sorry, I'm still getting used to the whole forums thing (didn't even know about it til an ls mate mentioned it a month ago ^^)


I guess we just really don't like transfers at all. It kinda comes off as if you have to make it through FFXI customs for our server. The fact that there has actually been time spent to research one character moving from one server to another blows my mind. Checking other sites for AH purchases and sale, reading up on other forums to report on the actions of the individual... it's like your creating a criminal report before the court hearing... and why does there need to be a court hearing?

I understand there must be a lot of frustration with past transfers. New linkshells spring up everywhere pretty much every week and old ones disband and die off. I've always had fun with friend on our server and never knew there was this much scrutinization going on behind the scenes. Does this mean that I'm being watched at all times too?

Basically, I just figure if you find Steak online you have a choice to party with him or not. Maybe there's a LOT more to it than what I assume, but I figure it pretty much comes down to that. If you don't like him, don't invite him. Let's all have fun doing whatever we normally do on our server ^_^

I'll have to remember this if I ever ask friends to transfer from another server. Maybe I should tell them it's not a good idea since there was such a hostile reaction in this case...

There have been people that specifically transferred to another server with the purpose of ninja lotting. Dont be mistaken. we do welcome new people but after seeing one's willingness to accept new people being responded to with a slap in the face we as a server would be fools to be nearly as trusting and the reasons for a decent person to server transfer are less than the reasons why a shitty player that bots/ninjalots/steals/hasCyberWithPeopleToStealTheBank would want to vanish into anonimity.

I am very welcoming to people as this server doesn't belong to anyone and you are a paying customer of the service, by all means it is your right to come here or any server you choose.

My best advice for you as a server transfer myself, the best thing you can do for yourself is just play by the 'servers rules'. I'm not going to lie to you, as long as your not claiming HNM, you probably wont be bothered. The second you claim Faf/Nid, expect Fubio to make some kind of offensive comment. When I goto king camps I turn off say/shout/emotes for this reason.

As for Khim, Cerb,Tia, same thing. Expect people to be rude. I don't think its because people really believe your botting. People just are so into it, they forget it is a game and resort to really tacky and classless behavior if they lose claim.

This is just something you will need to deal with. I myself, got really irritated with it and let it get under my skin but the important thing is to remember why you play FFXI and to just play by the rules. Everyone loses their shit sometimes, I'm no exception.

I'm very curious why you want to come here and start a hnmls. I don't think you will like it here because server transfers regardless of good intentions get treated like garbage by the majority of the endgame community, ESP, those starting a new HNMLS.

By all means, I have no clue who you are or where you came from so /welcome to Quetz. However I think you should rethink your decision to come here because Quetz has had the worst experiences with server transfers and its too a point now where endgame is just so much stress. I personally don't think you'll last long at all and it's not because I have prejudged you.

Quetz is a nice server once you've settled in and I've met some amazing people. I think about the WGC days and It makes me want to quit. That was HELL. You just have to follow the servers rules and try to ignore ignorant players.

/welcome if you come here but I strongly believe you would probably have more fun elsewhere. This server has had to deal with some very nasty servers transfer LS' and I don't blame them for prejudging anyone. However, just stay positive, be kind, have fun and it eventually calms down. People just need a chance to get to know u^-^


P.S make sure you wear lots of MND gear on your RDM. The Forum troll might make a thread about what a terrible RDM you are.

Most of the time you got shit said to you was when you in DarkDesire/WBC/Epic and yes your linkshell deserved it because you guys were disgustingly bad at everything you attempted.

You would bot your claims on all of the 3 land kings, you would camp cerb/khim/tia with 10+ people and it would take you so fucking long to kill them with 30+ people everytime.

Most of your linkshell composed of this servers trash and other servers trash that had no place to go so they installed some bots and were welcomed with open arms to your linkshell.

Amerie you do make a point though that most linkshells that have server transferred to here have not been welcomed at all. That being is because most of the linkshells that have come here have been full of people who steal/cheat/and just have an overall bad attitude in the game.

Though that is not the case with all the linkshell transfers to this server. Insurrection as far as I know has not had many if any problems with the general population of this server, as far as I know there hasn't been any drama at camps with them and competing linkshells.

My best advice for this new linkshell is don't have your members acting like fucking idiots/don't bot and certainly don't make it completely obvious/ and just try to follow the general rules of this server.

Yeah Insurrection, to my knowledge, has been one of very few server transfer shells to actually fit in on Quetzalcoatl. They're good people from what i've seen. IMO, everyone that talks shit in /say when a linkshell bots are hipacrits. People hate bots until they can benefit from them.(Not sure if that has been said already in this thread or not, I didn't read every singe page, kinda skipped the last 5-6.) Like for example Dezvoltare...they used to talk so much shit in /say then recently they claimed I believe it was 10/12 pops in Dragon's Aery. (I think 8 of which were in a row.)

No morwen you don't have to be a robot Mod which isn't what I said. There are things you should and shouldn't say though. Which is something even Arc or Miros(i forget who)commented on in light of the new changes in moderators.
