I just wanted to anounce that I will not be posting a Dynamis schedule For ElvaansInWonderland any longer.
Seems pointless when there are Dynamis Ls that are not using the Schedule. We have lost our scheduled
Zones the last few weeks By these certain Linkshells. I understand these sort of things happen, but i won't
spend my time putting a scheduled together for nothing. The thought of a Dynamis Schedule on a Server
is a good idea but only works if everyone uses it. Thanks for your time,
Sufira

This just adds to the problem not fixing it. I urge you to continue posting and dont give up.

Another Sorry

Endofallhope is declining to publish a schedule this month. I am not a leader of this shell, only the person who used to be asked to post the schedule. I am not speaking for the shell as a whole or for the leaders, but it's just so sad that we can't post a schedule because a schedule no longer seems to be a means of cooperation but an invitation for zone jacking. I'm embarrassed to have come from Midgard.

Alobont is right. If those that do post stop trying to use the system because its not perfect its just going to make the problem worse.

Theres no need to be embarrased but you really shouldnt give up. Like I posted in the other thread, all this will do is further the problem.

I agree whole-heartedly with the above statements. By refusing to post your schedule you are, in essence, doing the same thing these rogue linkshells are doing. Dynamis Scheduling has worked on Quetzalcoatl for somewhere around 4-5 years and there is no reason for it to stop working now just because of a few linkshells that refuse to ba apart of the community at large. The percentage of sniping linkshells and runs stolen, has decreased exponentially since the inception of the server merger and I cannot stress enough that our continued solidarity will further decrease these happenings. Do not become apart of the problem by ceasing to schedule, be apart of the solution. Soon, you will be sniping runs from honest community linkshells and may be villified just as they have allowed themselves to become. That is something that no one wants to see. I urge you to continue to post your schedule with us in the future, as well as this month.

Merged the two threads.

To stress the point:

DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE FEW, DICTATE THOSE OF THE MANY.

Looking at this from another perspective ... our scheduled zone was taken on Wednesday by Kouzaku and I was looking for another zone to do Dynamis in, but EIW has not posted a schedule... what this means for me is that I CAN NOT choose a zone that is respectful of your needs, because I don't know where you are planning to go.

You are preventing everyone who wants to be considerate of your desires (the majority) from knowing what those desires are.

Just something to think about.

You bring up a good point Moshanee.

But i'm starting to question the point of posting schedules now. All these shells that shout last minute, are aware of the schedules that post on QCDN but still choose to disregard them are really lowering the morale for those of us that spend the time working out a schedule in the first place. And with all the new shells that have come since the merger, its not so easy anymore to always figure out a working schedule in a matter of minutes. It feels like wasted time to do all of this, and then for it to mean absolutely nothing because the zone you intended to enter was taken prior to your entry time.

Its great that there ARE still shell leaders that can work with one another to help make things fair, but the quality of players since the merge has really become a disappointment.

RoR still intends to post their schedule, but I foresee a time coming when there will be no point because the number of people posting and working with other shells, will be all but none in comparison to the guys that "don't care".

I fail to see why none of these 'sniping' linkshells are being named and shamed...? Some people might reason that "we don't want to be the taddle-tales", but by withholding this information you are jeopardizing other (co-operative) linkshells zones too. I now know to break glass the instant I see a member of Kouzaku show up at the hieroglyphics, who else should I be observant / cautious of?

Following on from this, you are (at the moment) siding with the vast majority of linkshells, inclusive of the biggest ones on this server. To turn on those who are using this system may not only put you (and your linkshell) in disfavor with the rest of the community, but cause you more problems than it solves. I for one (and I know several others) will not hesitate to pop glass 30 minutes before my members are going to arrive because we can still clear all / practically all of the mobs in the zone anyway. I, like the others above, would strongly urge you to stick with the system. There is power in numbers, and the majority of the linkshells which seem to be ignoring the scheduling are the type which don't last long anyway...

The shell name that mine (RoR) has been dealing with for the last month is unknown as I have never been within range (or zone) to check. The shell leader however, is Vanlore who I am also told is Outcast.

He shouts in whitegate starting at 6pm PST/9pm EST on Tuesdays. So far, he enters between 7-8pm PST/10-11pm EST.

He has confirmed that he is aware of QCDN.org, and the schedules posted. However he also made it clear that because "other shells" just do whatever they want, he isn't going to respect or be considerate of other shells that DO try to work together.

An example was last night, he was shouting to take the Beaucedine zone. Knowing that my shell RoR was intended to enter in 2hrs, I sent him a /tell and asked him if he was aware of QCDN and the dynamis scheduling section in which linkshells attempt to work with each other to allow everyone a fair opportunity for zones. He said that he was, but when asked what his shell would do at midnight EST (the entry time for RoR) he replied that they would do nothing and continue providing they had extensions. He confirmed that he doesn't care what shell he inconveniences, and wasn't willing to work with other shells.

In the end, RoR went to Jeuno as that zone appeared to be free and we knew that with Vanlore's shell would push us back by at least an hour because of how late they were entering. I also found out later that apparently Kazoku LS ended up taking Beaucedine just a bit before Vanlore's shell could, because their zone had also been taken. And that of course has me wondering that if Kazoku had not been aware of Vanlore's shell trying to take Beaucedine, they would of still known that RoR was planning on entering and apparently didn't have a problem taking the zone either. (This is what I was told, so details might not be accurate as I was not present in Beaucedine last night)

It really makes me wonder, are now even the shells that are supposed to be a little more considerate just going to throw out common courtesy and inconvenience the people that are in fact trying to be fair and work with other shells?

In the end, RoR went to Jeuno knowing it was open to get a new member the win. We however saw a JP dynamis group gathering and decided that rather than stoop to the level of all these other pickup/rogue shells, we'd move again. We ended up taking San d'Oria but had to wait 15 min as another shell was finishing up (we had no problem, it was a shell that posts here and respects other shells). So in the end we entered about 45 minutes later than our normal time.

I agree that "throwing out" the whole scheduling thing is not the best choice, which is why RoR will continue to post. But from what i'm seeing, those of us that do post on QCDN and will not take another zone that we know is already planned by another shell, are far less than people are saying. As mentioned above, even now we have shells that do post here that apparently disregard the schedules. I guess the new motto is "If my zone gets taken, I might as well go and take whatever other zone I want".

Before jumping to conclusions, Kazoku could of seen you werent in the zone. I generally am aware of people in the other shells that run near me, so scanning the zone for their name yeilds results on if they are running.

Our shell wouldn't have been in the zone at the time they entered. Our shell runs at midnight EST, where as Kazoku and all the other NA shells run at 9pm EST. But if they were aware of the schedules of QCDN, they would of had access to see that we had the intention to enter Beaucedine at midnight, meaning that they would be delaying our entry time if they took the zone, which is just the same as what Vanlore's shell has been doing. Disregarding the schedules that are posted, because everyone is only out for themselves.

RoR has to take whatever zone is "empty" at 9pm EST, so that we can ensure that we enter on time (midnight EST). We occasionally do have conflicts with other shells that want the same zone as us, and if there's no way to work around it we usually just accept the "up to 30 minutes delay" but even on a couple of occasions, shells that post here have actually ended their run early, so as not to push our entry time which was really considerate and generous.

I really hope that what I was told is incorrect, I would be really disappointed to see a shell post on QCDN and disregard the schedules of other shells in the end.

I just had my (June 18th) Dynamis-Xarcabard run jacked by NewDynamix. Apparently he doesn't think its much of an issue because he (Template) doesn't pay attention to these forums.

Just letting everyone know that he will take a zone without respecting others who try to follow the schedules on here.

UtterChaos has had plenty of problems with this in the past. I even tried to stop posting schedule on here, because NewDynamix was reading it and intentionally targeting our zones. While I understand the frustration, PLEASE continue to post your schedules. When you stop posting, it just creates more cases of zone jacking, and the perception that slots are available on days that are already full, or nearly full.

If you're continually being jacked by the same shell, you *might* be able to get a griefing case going among the GMs. All I can say is good luck. Hopefully it will get better for you all.
