To be fair, Gerry... Darth Vader and Yoda don't fit the Soul Calibur universe AT ALL XD yet they're in the game![]()
Well I was thinking Master Chief doesn't fit more in the way of...whats his main weapon? Guns and stuff. Soul Calibur is more melee weapon fighting game. Master Chief doesn't really have a primary melee weapon.
Link and Spawn didn't fit into the story of Soul Caliber 2, but they were still good additions to the game. They're just throwing in other famous characters from other series, which is fine. What's we're talking about as far as "not fitting in" is how Master Chief only uses ranged weapons(unless they're dumb enough to give him the hammer or the sword), in a melee fighting game where no one has a ranged attack. Gameplay wise, they need to fit, even if they don't fit in plot-wise.I dunno, I am not a major fan of getting Yoda or Darth into the mix, it's been said in this thread about Lightsabers ripping through things, and then also the fact they use 'the force' to stop shit, although i think that'll be how they block and throw other than anything.
Also, I was looking forward to it, but i don't see how Yoda or Darth tie into the game, I'll have to see what's what before purchasing this...

Don't forget how well Heihachi "fit into" SC2 PS2.
They had to make up for how completely broken Link was in the GC version.
