Soul Calibur IV

The Mother of all rumors and the last one I'll talk about until we can find out for sure. I have strong doubts about these though.

1. PS3 version will have the option to download Master Yoda for $3.

2. Xbox360 version will have the option to download Lord Vader for $3

3. SCIV for PS3 has been holding out, and we really are getting Kratos.

It has to do with Namco's insulting radio comment about Dead of Alive. Ever since that, Itagaki claims his top 5 most hated games are Tekken 1, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken 4, and Tekken 5.

It's funny how he would diss Tekken and not even start with Soul Calibur. SC has always been Namco's best when it came to technical aspects.

He's an entertainingly arrogant director, and if he could clobber Namco, he'd do it in a blink of an eye.

The apprentice isn't in that pic so that leaves one spot the ???. Although if he was added in I guess he could be a bonus character, however vader/yoda and starkiller aren't, so its hard to say. I think the main reason they haven't is because there isn't a good character to add on the xbox side as discussed before. I guess we'll just have to wait a lil longer.

What the hell would be wrong with Xbox getting Spawn again? He has the same chain abilites as Kratos in ways... He could use Axes as he did in SC2 for main and chain abilities mixed in... Same thing as a Kratos would be imo. Would be great to see them make Spawny with this gens limits.

Yeah but then you'd have people bitching about xbox getting a not so new character where as PS3 would be getting a new one. I never played SC2 though so idk.

I also think Spawn would just totally wipe the floor with Kratos. Even if he couldn't, he'd definitely win the style contest.

Kind of hard for me to get hyped up for this one though considerin' it releases so close to the new Guilty Gears game.

As far as Spawn being a not so new character, he was extreemley badass... My favorite character from the consol exclusives.

Xbox 360 could've got Frank from Dead Rising. Different weapons could include HDTV, Lawn Mower, Bowling Ball, Lead Pipe. And ofcourse, costumes would be easy, just take random outfits from the game.

The animator goes by the name Montyoum, he can be found in a game ripping/modification community I attend. He applies pre-animated content to the model rigs and get enormous feedback from it. Basically he get a lot of credit for splicing other peoples models and animations with minor tweaks and a crappy render. It kinda burns us real animators cause seeing his work is like seeing a Photoshop lenses flair to us, and the people go nuts.

My envy in what he does is sorta mixed up here, cause he cannot really model or animate. I already told him I'll do Soul Calibur with Ninja Gaiden just so I can come for him lol.


But just to bring clarity to the possibility of Monty making Kratos Vs. Spawn. It's not gonna happen. Ripping models from PS2 games is damn near impossible and despite all the software and techniques we have to rip 3D models from PC and XboX and even gamecube titles, extracting and unlocking 3D models from PS2 games is unknown.

Soul Calibur II on XboX is not a problem for Monty, but Soul Calibur III and every other PS2 game is damn near impossible. The only PS2 title that is easy to extract from is FFX and i think Kingdom Hearts, and that is using PS2 emulation.
