So, anyone have this game yet? Im not really sure how far into it I am as I just started playing today. Lots of arm flailing, that pretty much sums the gaming experience up, but I think it's pretty fun. Its kind of like ...dynasty warriors without the level of enemies on screen that DW is known for.

And whoa, I totally wasnt expecting Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia to be in this title, let alone a playable character. GG Soul Caliber, always has those extra characters. :3 Not quite sure what the replay value is like just yet as I havent beaten it, plus ive only been playing the 1 player mode. The game may be even more fun with a friend... it's actually kind of a small workout to pull off good combos.

There was like a 12 year old that came in my store and played the game for like 4 hours. I really didn't like the way the game looked. It came pretty close to ruining how i see SC.

I don't think making it into a fancy version of Dark Cloud 2 was a good idea (i.e. All the game i saw, you spent the whole time in dungeons).

soul calibur legends deviates from the game's style so badly it makes me want to buy a 360 just to get sc4, just to wash the horrible stench of suck from my ears

ya probably I cant imagine playing SC on the Wii control. Probabaly will totaly break the game I wouldnt be suprized if it did.

Have you played SC:L? Its not that a a Wiimote would kill the game, but that its not even close to a fighter.

The Naruto and Bleach fighters on the Wii are incredibly fun and work well; the Wiimote doesn't break anything.

DBZ is fun too ^^

Haven't played that one, although I'm looking forward to the next one, I heard they finally got all of the gesture recognition to work properly.

So the Bleach game is worth it for a fighter?

Yeah, the way you swing the wiimote actually determines how you swing your sword. You can do vertical swings, horizontal swings, or thrusts, which leads to different combos and attacks. It's a fun fighter, but nothing really hard core. A lot of it's value is going to be for the bleach fans. While non-fans will still enjoy it(unless they think it's going to be something like KoF or tekken), they won't get as much out of it but that works for any game based on an established franchise.

First off.. if anyone thought this was going to be a fighting game, then that's the reason you disappointed yourself. I knew that this was going to be a rpgish type of game (based off of Soul Calibur), I didn't know it was going to be quite as free roaming hack/slash game that it is. But really, I'm not bothered by the way the game is. I actually enjoy the game and the back-story that it develops. I think it's silly to think that just because it has Soul Calibur in the title that it must be a fighting game. I think back to a game some might remember, Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero. Anyone who thought that game was garbage obviously didn't play it with the intent that it wasn't meant to be like the normal games in the series. It was meant to add more of a story aspect to the world than simple text in the fighting game portrayed; and it did that successfully in a type of rpg format, even if it was frustratingly hard at parts... just as Soul Calibur Legends is starting to become. Personally I'm all for taking a franchise and testing out possibilities that it can venture. Hell everyone knows Final Fantasy has been doing that for years. Anyway, back to my thought's on SCL.

There is one character that's pretty lame and really doesn't do anything other than interject bits of added story that really don't serve a useful purpose in the main story.

The story however so far, seems pretty cool and has so far actually surprised me with it's length, I honestly thought the game would end at one point and then the story continued due to a twist that wasn't completely unexpected, but at the same time was unexpected.

Personally I've been enjoying the game, it's actually getting to a point where the missions are getting really tough to beat. I'm starting to fail more often where before I nearly always won without really having to put too much effort into it.

Though honestly, Like I said in my first post, this game is pretty darn fun and a pretty decent work out in order to pull off crazy combo's. That, or I just wave the remotes around crazily pulling off combos for no real reason. Either way, it's a blast and I wish I had two remotes so I could try the game out with friends. I think the co-op modes along with the other 2 player modes would be a hell of a lot of fun.

It does sound like fun. I was thinking about picking this up in January. I'm more excited about it since I read your post. ^^

Well I'm glad I did something right. :D I hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far.

I'd say rent it first, I got it expecting a free roaming Hack and Slash, but with Soul Calibur quality >0<; But it really doesn't live up to the Soul Calibur name, only a select few characters, 3 levels to play co-op in.

There is a fighting game type vs. mode, however my friend that didn't even look at the screen while flailing his arm destroyed me since there was no counter attack.
