I was there when all this happened, and all I can say is that I don't recall a time that I've been more sickened by this game. RMT turn my stomach but you know what? I think what's even worse is to be backstabbed by someone you trusted.
This person was in Myrrh's social shell, this person knew Myrrh had been camping ToD and trying to get help for weeks, and had agreed with him beforehand that the drop would be Myrrh's and that Myrrh would help him with his in return. There were 14 people there. To my knowledge, 12 of them were there because Myrrh asked them to help and they knew the work he'd put into getting this together. The other two were Soulstar and his friend Zhoutai (who, I might add, spent time laughing at what happened and cheering on his buddy's ninja lot). The proof is exactly what you see. Myrrh had right away lotted with a 27. Time passed and everyone had passed, one person was dead and obviously couldn't pass, and Soulstar took it upon himself to lot right before the drop, despite being told, as you can see, several times to pass.
All he kept saying over and over again afterward was "How do I know any of you would have come back to help me?" So the bottom line is, he justifies ninja lotting a rare item he agreed would go to Myrrh because he was too goddamned lazy to gather together people on his own? Myrrh camped ToD, Myrrh assembled most of the allliance to fight it, and Myrrh had promised to give of his time to help this guy get his gear. And how was he rewarded? By finding out that his own social LS leaders encouraged another member to screw him over; by losing the gear he has put so much time into obtaining, no matter whether sick, tired, or unable to gather people to help; by being jacked by someone he didn't know he had to watch his back around.
I'm disgusted. Disgusted because had I been asked to help hunt the nm again, I would have. Disgusted because there isn't anything remotely funny about a linkshell's leaders stabbing their own members in the back... Because there is something really very wrong with screwing someone who trusts you over and laughing about it with a buddy. There was no remorse. There was no, "I acted impulsively and I shouldn't have," or "Hey thank you so much for putting in all this effort and getting all these people here to help us." Just, in not so many words, "Fuck you, it's mine, tough shit, I'm screwing you before you screwed me." Well guess what, you underhanded fool... No one was trying to screw you. You burned and used every person who came to help out because you didn't have the balls to ask any of us to come back and help you out for yours... because you didn't have the common courtesy or common sense to hold to your word and get your robe just a little later. I think you're dirt for what you did. And I don't think much more highly at the moment of any number of your cronies involved in this shitty little debacle. Like I said at the time, I really hope you enjoy that robe. Because I'm going to be sure to mention to anyone I know that you ninja lot, that you have no mind of your own to do what's right instead of what people are egging you on to do, and that you make a habit of betraying people who are mistaken enough to trust you. Have fun with that.
