Now I have a pretty retarded sound system:
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10051737&catid=
and a SB Audigy 2 sound card...Everything sounds nice, but I have noticed I have hook ups for Coax/digital sound and Optical....now is it really worth going to futureshop and buying either a coax or an optical cable. What I am saying is, will I be able to notice the difference in sound? These speakers are crisper than fresh celery but if anyone has experience with digital/optical sound....lemme know! thx!

Edited for spelling -_- I probably missed some more lol

Do you have a speaker rig capable of digital signalling (optical)?

I noticed quite a difference when I compared the two. Particularly with a true audio DVD.

Yea I got hook ups for Optical, my 1 question is how do I connect the optical cable to my sound card? need an adapter of some sort?

First of all i have Logitech Z-5500 from Newegg.com for $262.99 before, i don't know why that website is selling it for $499.99, Logitech Website itself sell for $399.99... sooo buddy, you got ripped off

and they should have a different on sound on what you plug in...

Coax use for DVD player i think, and optical used for TV.... i forgot XD

I heard from site and people that have a X-Fi Sound Card will bring out the Logitch Z-5500 sound quality more

I didnt buy from future shop, and 1 reason the price is more is im going to assume your from USA so the price would be different. My set came to 389CDN with a 3 year unlimited warrenty.

My came in total like $290 hehe, but i only got the default 2 year warranty i believe...

i hate that subwoofer XD is sooo heavy and i can't hardly know where i can place that 60-70lbs subwoofer XD,

oh a Notice:Make sure the subwoofer is 3 feet away from any electranic

but overall i <3 the Z-5500 :D

Yea this system can really pound, thx to Cmd I found out an optical connection is impossible with my card unless an adapter is found but as for the coax connection, that cable is 25$ and I will go snag one tomorrow! Hopefully I will get a little more out of this system!
