Spamming Japanese

Is it just me or have a ton of Japanese players been spamming lately? I was in Upper Jeuno a couple days ago and some japanese person shouted like 17 lines of japanese. Blacklist. Later in Port Jeuno it happened again (a bit less this time, but still took up the chat log). Blacklist. Again in Vakurm Dunes today. WTF is going on? I've only seen that once in english (people do retarded shouts all the time, but not entire dialogue boxes worth)
 
Umm ive never once seen a Japanese person spam. Plenty of NA though of course.
 
PPl! JP are peaople too, there are annoying little kids that spam just like there are NA little kids that spam. Not all JP are great ppl and not all NA are either, but not all are bad.
 
I think there are more japanese spammers than we realize....it's just their language is very foreign to most of us so we just tune it out. I don't like spammers in general and I'm sure Japanese people are very annoyed at Japanese spammers.

For all we know, they could just be japanese versions of our annoying useless shouters.

In shouts.
Example....
"Hey <insert name>."
"Hey, how are you?"
"Good, long time no see."
etc. (now just picture this in japanese and we wouldn't be able to understand their written characters.)
 
Yeah, but the messages I'm talking about are obviously on a macro because they are like 2-3 lines each and sent every second or so.

i've never seen any JP "spam" before...however, I've seen lots of lines to their msgs. I've studied japanese for a while now, so I can pick out maybe 10% of what they are saying lol Those long shouts are generally about high lvl quests, NM hunting LSs and the such. And they always say "Please excuse the shout..." at the begining and end of every shout. Just another perspective for you...
 
... Unless those were one of the inmature attention w***e, I think they were shouting for summer festival quest. If you are in jeuno, people shout all the time to recruit helpers or needers of such quests, missions and such. They never ever send private tells. (at least its not logical) If the shouts are so annoying, I suggest to filter the shout. Its the same issue as if you don't want ot get the check message, filter out.
 
"Just filter shouts" is the poor logic of every spammer I've ever met. If you're a white mage you would miss teleport requests (which means missing money opportunities), important info like people zoning gobs, or raise requests, etc.

I have a better idea. Just don't spam. Don't send your teleport requests 40 times in as many seconds. Don't have 7-line Bazzar notices (actually don't have them at all). Don't put your macros to /shout (I'm not kidding, I have seen this). Simply don't spam. Not that hard a concept to grasp.
 
yes there is a lot of spam...i dont mind that much. but japaneese sam is sooo anoying. i cant even read it.

you guyz get to bothered by shouters, jeez, ok, they are shouting, you don't have to READ what they are saying, nor does it take much effort to read it, and in the japanese spamming, wip-dee-friken-doo, let them spam, we spam english and they can't read it, at least some of them can't so, and we spam more than them, so i thik they are more annoyed.
 
Well , most of the shouts you see , is for HNM hunts , high lvl quest
like NA do to , if they need help with something , only we try to do it in 1 line , they do it in like 6-7 , and they macro it.
 
A while back I signed into the game around...hmm...7-8 am? Which is normally Yomi's sleepy time...and in Jeuno, I saw a good deal of JP spam.

ASCII art. It was awesome. This one random JP was spamming pictures of Bart Simpson, sunrises, the little Mona cats...and everyone in Jeuno spammed with /cheer and /clap afterwards.

It was awesome...o_o
