So I'm bubu, going to get my carby ruby, when I see Sparkman fighting a gob. I see he's losing and let him know that he can call for help if he needs it. Well, he doesn't and dies. I kill the gob, because it needed to die, and all the sudden i get this:

It's people like him that make universal game playing impossible.

And I bet blacklisting him makes you feel so much better with your elitist attitude.

If you were realling innocent you would have just ignored it and not made a thread about it.

How was I elitist? Elitist for offering help? Elitist for apologizing and asking if I did something wrong? Elitist in thinking that everyone should work together regardless of language?

You might want to look up elitist in the dictionary. And to quote you, "realling."

Are you kidding?

Yeah... Because "Call for help if you need it" sounds like a real elitist to me...

And what do you mean, "if you were really innocent?" What is it you think he did wrong by reminding the guy that help was nearby? I would have blacklisted the idiot too. English = RMT. Ooooooookay then.

No the blist thing was.

And pointing out someone typing a word wrong on a forum is as well.

Grammar nazi, oh noes.

lmao.

Hey everyone look at the amatuer.

I'd prolly blacklist someone who hit me with "English = RMT" and "Leave" after i offered to pull his ass outa the frying pan. Just because you enjoy taking it in the ass doesn't mean anyone else has to bend over for it.

That makes no sense what so ever.

Blacklist accomplishes nothing but flaunting your elitist MMO attitudes. Its just something for pussies to hide from... umm... TEXT... oh noes, not TEXT!

or ... iono ... filter their playing experience from rampant jackassery. If i'm looking for a good time i don't pay attention to ass-clowns, it's much like telling someone to shut the fuck up in a movie theater, blist just doesn't give room for the fist fight.

Elitist is his favorite word, going by his posts.

Pick a better insult that one's kinda lame really.

I still fail to see how blist is elitist....

OMG he didn't want to have further communication with someone who was being rude to him for no reason in particular ... so i s'pose you smile and wave at the guy who cuts you off then flips you off on the drive to work, right?

Naw, its mainly the way people use blist... they go outta their way to make sure the person knows they are being blisted before they do it. Its just amusing to see people are bothered by TEXT that much.

My favorite online word is tard... everyone knows that.

s'kinda hard not to let the text of the ignorant get annoying when the game only has that mode of communication.. >.>

My blist is empty... I find someone who wants to be ignorant like that is rather amusing, seeing how many things someone will assume about a perfect strangers life is crazy.

Now if FFXI had a trade system like L2 or something where a confirmation window popped up then blist would be really useful cause someone can effect your gameplay spamming crap like that.

that i can dig.

no one ever stayed on my blist long, just long enough for me to either cool off or forget why they were there in the first place. I figure alot of people do the same, it's not really an elitist thing at all more of a nice way of saying "fuck you very much for your contribution to my day." without saying a word.

When someone is blisted their messages look like they are still going through though last from what I remember right?

on their end yea, it's more of an instant-gratification thing for the blister and a dome of silence for the blistee.

Oh, I turn my online status to /away if I want to block text for a short time, cause then they see "message not recieved, reciepient is away". Then I might message them with a smartass comment to which they obviously will be more annoyed because they can't reply.
