Yesterday, I made 1.8 million in profit. That has never happened to me before. However, that money will not get me any more milage than any other good farming run ever would have when it's applied to today's relative standard.

Inflated numbers seem crazy for sure.
You know what I do when I don't want to pay for an item I feel is price-jacked? I don't buy it.

The few times I agree that the inflation is out of hand are when (like a couple days ago) the going rate of a hauby was about 12 mil, and I saw on in bazaar for 20 mil. That's bullshit. Go shake your stick at those people.
 
By raising prices of materials high level crafters discourage people from getting a high level craft. JPN Goldsmithers have been doing it for years now the other crafts are catching up. How much gil do you think someone like Odon who does Cashmere threads/cloths for gil would spend to prevent another 30 or so people to flood a delicate market?
 
By the way, it looks like they're back down to 50k each, with a stock of 96.
 
Stop buying the ingredients then. I keep putting stuff up at the old rates but people still buy them off me for the current too high price. That's their own fault, and I save on AH fees :P

I just find it quite hilarious that, (and I've been sitting back on this for quite a few months, maybe about 5-6 months now I've known this little secret) Vandoura was saying in a certain Linkshell that I was in quite a while ago, that I've already dropped, she buys either gil or items, I forget which one she said, and was bragging about all the wonderfulness.
 
Heh well sounds fishy to me, but if that's indeed the case no wonder she is bitching, spending more rl money on gil the more inflation happens so she can lvl her craft(s).

Damn I cant believe I missed this thread......oh wait I was out farming materials for crafting. CC and LC from 20-60 without going above 600k 4tw....

There are plenty of ways to make money with a decently leveled craft Archatius in my LS is a desynth machine in clothcraft, he never complains hes just like welp only 25 stacks of silk to go on hakamas........

I find it funny, that you all attack Vandora for simply wanting to combat auction house inflation, and then call her a gil buyer for it too! I geuss everyone who can not buy the items they need for skill up or armor or anything else because of inflation obviously must take part in RMT :O

1) She wants to stop inflation? Good for her, so does half the server. Let's hand out cookies to everyone who wants to stop inflation, but just can't seem to do it.

2) I never once 'attacked' Vandoura. All I said is what I saw on the Linkshell. I was new to the Linkshell, I didn't say much in it.
