yeah my point was that chpal said himself he didnt know her...so why even bother talking shit to someone he doesnt know?

uhh yeah. Cause you know how we all know each other soo very well.
I took my comments from what she posted plain and simple. She acted stupid IMO and in most ppls too.

Stop buying it then, or get out of jeuno and farm them. They're easy as shit to get if you have some patience.

Odon with 738mill you can sell that for a netweigh of like 6k RL money....

He keeps his money in a bank and gains a 3% Vana'diel yearly interest (about 60k per Vana'dial day....about 1.4mil per RL day interest)

Good reading, you can really see how peoples opinions and emotions change from when you start to read until the end just like a good book (And I hate to read books so i'm done now).

Buying them for 60k a piece is insane. I don't know if it's because I'm dirt poor or because I'm cheap, but there have been times where I refused to buy materials when they tried to jack it by 1k. Now, if everyone thought like that, we'd be set.

they are easy to farm, just go to altepa, bring your npc and lvl it while you do it. Or you could try different synths, If your gonna level a craft, or synth an item, you should be willing to pay the costs that it takes, no one is forcing you to do this. They're are other synths and other ways to make money or skillup. And its still way cheaper than rainbow cloth if what was said at the begining was true:

60k x 24 web = 1,440,000G for a 12 sucessful syn stack of thread
Stack of Rainbow Cloth = 4,320,000G

It is still a profit synth, and you're complaining that its a little bit less profitable than it used to be? or complaining because you dont have the gil to continue leveling something that costs a lot of money? besides 60k now is worth less than 60k before, simply because their is much more gil in the server than their used to be. I

This price was hovering around 45k a web last time I checked.
The logical thing to do if you don't like the price, don't buy it and wait for the price to decline.

The Rainbow Thread and Cloth prices will always follow that of the threads, so all and all, the synth will pretty much always yield a profit (although as of right now, there is a huge surplus of materials, so the profit will continue to drop)

I suppose I have 2 major points.

The first, is that I'm a 87 clothcrafter. I do plan on taking it higher. I know it's going to cost me out the ass to get there. Farming is something I do, but loathe for the most part. I've used little known tips and tricks of my mule (who is the clothcrafter) and Marato himself who is a 100 cook. It's not the greatest in the world. And it won't turn me into a multi-millionaire unless I curved my zealous little spending habbits. (I like to buy shiny stuff.)

I'm not thrilled about the price hike, but as I just came back from 7 months in Iraq to find the economy all sorts of different, I don't mind it so much. It hurts on the off chance I break a Spider Web de-synth, but I cry my little tear and move on with myself. One day, maybe, I can run with the big boys and girls of clothcrafting. For now, I'm appeased with my little niche' in the art.

Also, it was kind of spiffy to find out that my gear which was once valued at a rough 18 mil damn near quadrupled in value. Even if the proportionate purchasing power of the gil shifted accordingly. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy in the pants. Like false hope or something~

My second point is that I earnestly enjoy Cheeseburgers. Not just any Cheeseburger I suppose. There's a local resturaunt that sells them. Really good things. I'm not much of a burger guy really. But the way they make it, it makes you change your mind pretty quick. What was the point of saying that? It's random, it has no real relevance, it's completely off topic, and we're all probably that much more dumb for having heard it.

I know I'm an idiot. I could likely be perpetuating the sheer exsistence of this thread. I'm an idiot, and I have american blood that makes me feel like 'I just got to say something.'

Please forgive my wanton (and usually random) idiocy.
Marato~

Wanton idiocy is the one thing every flameboard article/thread has in common, no matter how well-intentioned at the start someone always takes us down the path of insanity. So good on ya mate =)

Welcome back marato!
