Spider Web AH camping Botter

If I can't get any webs this afternoon because of them then I'll give a GM a call too. It's sad that you can't buy mats due to a damn AH bot. :mad:


I never thought about the trade idea, might give that a shot too and see if it will work. If it would buy a little bit of time to make a purchase or two then it would be worth it.
 
Why do I feel that the GMs aren't going to do anything? ;x
 
I tried trading function, and even tested with my friend..

it only cancel AH if that person haven't been AH browing yet ><
so if you trade it to them while they are botting to get those web, nothing happen, is like trade didn't effects it

Unfortunately not. I've watched those players for a while. They simply have nothing better to do than to bid on things that aren't there for a stretch of time. To the extreme will go the rewards. Try it sometime. While chatting it up, pre-bid 3k on webs that aren't there yet. It is surprisingly rewarding and kindof like the lottery. Variable return positive reinforcement is a hell of a drug.

You didn't see him buy it because that's all he did for months. I made 10 million gil off quesm buying rainbow product. The guy has an immense reserve, but he's not botting. If you do the same thing as xsera, you'll get the same outcome. Bid on what's not there. You'll go web for web with her. But what you can't do is go afk or slack, then curse the day xsara was born when she's stolen 7 webs right from under your nose. They're not botting. They're simply camping.

They are truely no life then lol... sometime i see them on for 12hours and do nothing but bidding, this is worst then people exping for 20 hours a day and got like 10 lv.75 lol

Yea AH bots are there, they used to bot moat carp, still do for all I know. Hurray clothcraft.
 
Yeah I don't think they're bots necessarly, I've caught a few 3k webs. If I'm sitting at the computer all day it's easy to lean over the to laptop a make a bid every 30 minutes or so.

I think that used to be true when they were worth a damn to farm...Seriously who's really farming them for 3k a piece.

That's the other problem in this situation: Dumbass sellers who don't realize that when there's only 3 on sale for days at a time maybe they should jack up the price.

The 3k webs are great for me but the people who are farming them are screwing themselves. You could be farming 3k webs or 4k webs or even 5k webs, farmer's choice, but they choose to keep them at 3k which is alright with me.

It's a by-product of the Kindred Seal farming I see going on outside the postern. I've seen lots of ~ga farming out there sometimes different names, but mostly the same guys. I kinda assume they were gilsellers, but I honestly don't know. They are jackasses though.

monopoly.. even with th3 i cant keep up with rmts even if i played all day...

ex: they bring in 500 in one day to my what 150? in turn how do i rraise a price.. theirs will sell for 3k and i will solve nothing by letting mine sit on ah as nobody will pay 4k+ when they know RMT are bringing more for cheaper

I understand that point of view for certain items but spider webs aren't one of them. Take a look at it and you'll see there are rarely more than 10 on sale, thus everyone (RMT and normal) aren't farming enough.

Also, have you checked the price of webs in Windy?
 
Windurst usually has a low volume or people put them up there to feed the powerlevelers. Or used to. Now you can get imagery elsewhere. I wouldn't knock AH camping too much. It used to be incredibly lucrative. But perhaps the competition has stepped up their intensity since the last time I did it.
