More than likely. As mentioned earlier though, WAR/SAM with Fortitude is truly suicide in merit, unless you have a really good monk to equalize.
 
I thought /sam was only 5acc, 5atk, and 5% Haste?

I seem to recall /drg having 2 acc traits... maybe that was /rng.

In any case I've got higher expectations from /thf with Fortitude - we'll see how the timing goes but maybe Mistra can pop out RR's between the SA'd Cyclones.

Dar, as I mentioned in PM your sub will be either /nin for pulling or /whm for assistance if we get a good camp.

It was a ninja fix by SE a while back, to make a SAM sub more appealing. The STR trait is the only one halved, since level 37 only awards +5 STR to the job mained. The rest of the stuff is constant now. 10ACC, 10% Haste. Which is why I announce it's suicide for Fortitude WAR's D:. My god I can't even imagine curing one as a WHM lol. Triple Attacking with Store TP and Meditate... at a base haste of 23% Haste (with my build, I don't prefer Unicorn Boots really :|, or even swift for that matter with GA), and an additional 10ACC. Man, that's some hurt.

But yeah, I'm excited about this merit party. Screw the exp/hour, this sounds fun. I apologize in advance for Cmdr, God, and myself to Raes, Daryus, and Rappa D:

I've left that dumb Mumeito in storage for a year because I thought /sam was crap... god damn. This is gonna be hella fun.

Godo, do you have a regular GA to use for comparison? Would like to level the field somewhat since I'm the only mook without a multihit. Gear and merits look relatively equal.

I'll let the parse run wild for a fight or two so we can determine what we want for food. After that I'll restart it with everyone's food up. This will be my first time using it for exp since I merited GA. Or I guess maybe we should be using the same food to more accurately isolate the sub comparison...?

if ya need another war i'd love to come. I usually only merit with ls buddies but i'm war/sam full time but i could /anything if you need. i'm no /nin hater but I play this game for fun and /sam is where the fun is at for me ^^.

We couldn't find a /sam replacement so this isn't quite definitive. However it does compare a /thf with Fortitude against a /thf with Byakko's. Impressive results even though the latter of the two had better equips in some slots.

Camp was northern zone at Mamool Ja Staging Point. Strictly mamools and the odd sea puk. I popped sushi the whole night, Mistra did meat, and Mot started as meat then shifted to sushi. Parse ended about 15min before the party as food was starting to wear off.

I spammed Raging Rush the whole night and popped Cyclone only when Warcharge was up. Mot and Mist were spamming Cyclone the whole night (and got some amazing numbers even at low percentages).

The bottom unnamed line in parts of the parse screenshot were a chatlog fuckup, showed the player name as "Cover! Rappa takes..." for whatever reason.

The one thing I'm a little confused about is how Motley has 2% more crit rate than Mistra. TP builds are nearly identical though Mistra is landing more hits overall. Maybe Mistra was saving SA for WS only while Mot was spamming where possible, I dunno.

Also keeping in mind that the /thf guys couldn't land every single SA... but this is fairly common and to be expected with /thf so I'm not sure we can count that as a skewer of results.

Thanks to all who participated, and even going balls out soaking as much MP as possible we still walked out with almost 20k exp in a few hours.

Sounds like you guys had alot of fun. I'd be interested in matching this vs. consistant food use party-wide. First all using meat, then all using sushi, and then having this type with mixed food.
 
Thanks for inviting us, it was a lot of fun. Let's do it again sometime. The funny thing is, a button of mine is not working on my keyboard... and wasn't last night either lol, so it made for some great entertainment I think. Also, that earring should be fowlers, but I was a moron and left in my mog house. Oh well, I went without 3 a...kkurasy last night.

No you weren't! I took huge offense!!!!!!! Can't you tell I'm being serious?!?!!?!?!

All joking aside, you would have laughed last night. (I'm at work now, so it works) but my "C" button wasn't working, on two different keyboards. It was rather entertaining, since I was using "K" and "S" mostly as a substitute. In words I had to use "Ch"... I just didn't type those.

I've yet to parse /drg against /nin but I'm pretty sure the latter would come out on top. However I might set up another one of these before the update and hopefully will have /drg /sam /nin, since /drg beat out /thf even with fortitude.

There are uncontrollable differences between all 3 of us but merits and gear are fairly close. Skill is no variable in this parse. The missed SA's are the only real detriment disproving /thf's output.

edit: being called "mdr" by the keyboard noob was a first.

Yeah man, I was pretty stoked to see that your jumps did almost 15,000 damage. Really made up for the 10k under you had in WS's between us two.
