Fuck man, I love Sportscenter, but I hate it when they put these sad-ass stories on here lol. I'm trying to watch highlights from my favorite sports, not get sad as hell 'cause some kid is dying.

Sweet rant, huh?

Haha, I actually really like the My Wish segments. It makes me feel like a total girl, and I'm usually not a sucker for those types of things, but when I see athletes that I watch ever week being more than just 250 pound grunts, and showing that they actually have alot of heart, it makes me happy inside. I have shed a tear or two.

lol, they're actually awesome stories, I just hate it when they blindside me with this shit. The one I just watched was cool, by the end of the day people were asking for the kid's autograph. Was the one with the Indians

I have a love hate relationship with SportsCenter. I love the quick updates the short reviews of last nights sports they give. I hate, i mean hate all the other parts. They are so wrong in most of the stuff they do and are the largest banwagon show for sports period. Hopefully the MLB station puls through and i can have personal stations for each sport i watch. Maybe my hatred is just a little bit more towards ESPN then the actual SportsCenter show... I need time to think lol.

SportsCenter sucks when they strongly cater to (see: fellatio) what they perceive to be "America's" most popular teams such as the Yankess/Red Sox/Cowboys/Lakers.

On one night, they will showcase the Yankees (who are 3rd in their division and have no prayer at the playoffs) against the Mariners with a featurette mid-show about Adam Jones and the Cowboys. The Rays-Cubs game will be about 50 minutes at the back end of the show and a 2 minute highlight.

The next night they will lead off with the Red Sox beating the Royals and do a mid-show featurette about T.O. but the Orioles ending the Cubs 14 game home win streak in a thriller will be a footnote buried at the end.

Bah.

I do agree here. They are the largest bandwagon there is. Sure the current champions of each sport or the long time classic team should get praise but they take it to the next level. They also get these boards of people to analyze the sport they are so called professionals in... And they are completly wrong most of the time. STFU John Kruk... Please...

Wow... Bold quotations bro, BOLD... Are you familiar with 15 games out of first place? Only to make the playoffs for the 12 consecutive time? Hehe we have no control and can not predict anything but the numbers give a decent guide line... The numbers say you are way out of line. =D

Anyways ESPN needs to stop getting so much credit for all their sports coverage and actually up the quality. I am a huge fan of quality over quantity... They for sure focus on the quantity...

Ha, SportsCenter will have the greatest amount of airtime and anchors telling you Yankee fans you do this every year and it's not over. But frankly you are exactly what you are right now. The 3rd best team in your division maybe only the 4th as Baltimore isn't bad and much younger.

In addition you will flat out have to win your division to have any prayer. the wildcard wont save you like last year. And with Tampa and Boston as good as they are I just don't see it. I'm sorry. But look at it this way, you will probably dump Abreu, Giambi, and Cabrera and get some young talent up eventually. Now if NY could just find some pitching.

Huh..? The Cubs get the same airtime as the Sox/Yanks do...

Yea, generally they do. I just noted the other night when their long home winning streak came to an end it was a footnote.

For one... Boston is not in good shape now. No Ortiz, and Manny having hammy issues and Beckett looking like a second in the rotation guy. They are not the team they were last year. The series we enter tonight will be a huge factor to either slap your last comment in the face or make you a fortune teller... We will see lol. I just love it when people do this doubting stuff tho. Baseball season is a marathon buddy, not a sprint.

I'm sure SoprtsCenter will cream all over the series. But You can hate on the BoSox all you want. Even with Ortiz hurt their pitching > your pitching. AND they are still fighting the Rays (wait wat?) for first.

First place Rays will get maybe a 2 minute highlight at the 43 minute mark. I'm sure we will also hear about Tony Homo getting ready for Dallas's Super Bowl run even though they have won a playoff game in 12 years.

Ew SportsCenter.

Beckett looking like a #2?

As a die-hard Sox fan, I watch every single game, and while they are most certainly slumping, the offense is hitting under .200 over the last 20+ games with RISP... 'Tek is hitting .083 in his last 50+ at-bats, and the bullpen is certainly struggle.

However, Beckett has been dominant in his last 8~ starts, except for one shaky start against milwaukee. His stats are a bit less impressive than last year, and his wins are down(3 of them easily contributed to the bullpen) but he is by no means the #2 starter, despite the emergence of the amazing Jon Lester. Lester has been good enough to be the Ace of several staffs in the bigs, but he's still the #2 guy behind Becks. Come playoff time, there's no one I would rather have than Josh Beckett, his post-season numbers are amazing.

As for the Yankees, I expect them to make a surge, still, and I'm not being paranoid as a 'Sox fan, but just being realistic. This is a veteran team with a lot of talent and a boatload of offense. I still expect the Sox to take the division, and quite honestly, at this point I think the Rays will take the wildcard, but the Yanks will be no more than 4 or 5 games out of the wildcard come season's end.

I'm rooting for the Rays though, except for when they play the Sox. ;D
