yes that is what i try to tell people autos ignore Def. once i hit lv 75 CB will do 350+ time. I never use valor, so he was 12 under cap for lv 67. Once i get merits my valor will have 250 skill
His highest on Genbu was 235
on a side not people hit genbu for 6-10 dmg per hit
This weapon skill deals a fixed amount of damage to most enemies, which is proportional to the automaton's melee skill. It does about 290 base damage at level 75 to most enemies, merits don't affect this. TP over 100 marginally increases the damage, but does not appear to be a function of the normal damage formulas. The weaponskill is unique in that it has both physical and magical properties. It's magical in that it ignores defense, VIT, and cannot critical; it always deals the same amount of damage. It also cannot miss, completely ignoring the enemy's evasion. Also, it can in some cases resist like a magical attack (1/2 1/4 1/8 1/16 resist). On the other hand, it can be considered physical damage, since the final damage is altered by a mob's slashing resistance and physical damage reductions.

Its not only proportional to the automaton's melee skill is it? I'm sure I heard somewhere its based on the automaton's max HP
It procs during earth and wind, yes. It does not proc on lightning and fire, however. Chimaera Ripper and String Clipper one are fire + lightning based, thus, if you use one of those, you "order" the automaton to use one of them. Cannibal Blade is Dark based, and stronger, so if you don't use dark, lightning or fire maneuvers, it'll use its strongest WS (Cannibal Blade). If you use Fire or Lightning, it will use one of those instead. However, throwing 1 Dark Maneuver in there will, once again, force it to use Cannibal Blade, assuming you don't have 2 Fire or 2 Lightning up.No, it's DMG is based on your Automation's Melee skill, STR(New study), Magic Att Bonus(Loudspeaker Increased mine by a whole... 11 points), and the enemy's Magic Def.
That FF11wiki is bullshit
Canni Blade will proc when you have dark manv- Correct
Canni Blade will not proc when you have ... Earth and wind? that is incorrect.

Did they make Genbu hard? Why is this an accomplishment?
Or is SProcket a pup only guild or something? xD

The principal is correct. The Maneuvers are not.
