Spyware programs?

Im terrible and a noob with computers, and my PC was recently hit with some sort of fuckin HIV disease or something, its very irritating with pop ups and adds for spyware programs and is causing my hisgh speed to run at shit speed. (Longest run on sentance ever)

Need a suggestion (link would be great) for a really good spyware/virus/spam destroyer thats free. Any help would be very much appreciated thanks!

I would suggest formatting your hard drive if things are that bad... But after you do that, get Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ (free version)

Edit - Also, changing all your passwords that you use from that PC may not be a bad idea.
