Square hints at broadening formats (Does not want PS3 to lose or win)

Erm, as far as games are concerned, Microsoft makes very few. Starlancer/Freelancer and MechWarrior are the only two that stand out. Halo is Bungie(granted, Microsoft 2nd party developer,) Oblivion is Bethesda Softworks, unaffiliated with Microsoft. Prey, I dunno, haven't played it because it seems way too easy with the way death is handled.

PC is a platform. Xbox is a platform. Wii is a platform. Playstation3 is a platform.

If you want to argue that titles on the Xbox end up on the PC as well, I can argue that titles on the Playstation 3 will end up on the Xbox 360 and Wii as well. If you want to demerit Xbox because of crossplatform, the same should be said for the other two as well.

Xbox does have titles that do not see PC releases as well. My money is on the same amount as Playstation exclusives. I'm talking about permanent exclusives. Games like God of War and Ratchet and Clank. Grand Theft Auto isn't a permanent exclusive, for example.

well most of the games i want will never see a pc release since they are continuations of previous series, and a few just 360 exclusive companies. so i dont mind much anyway

Both halo and fable sucked on PC compared to xbox imo. Some types of games play better on consoles while others play better on PC. I wont say one genere specifically to each since i think it veries game to game, but take FPS for example. Most FPS games are better on PC but i still like console FPSs too, if not more sometimes (mainly like goldeneye was the shit and i played Socom like a crack addict back in the day). Also some games, like oblivion take a pretty high end pc to run which most people don't have so they get it for 360 which is just as good.

I agree on the halo CE thing, the only reason it was good for PC was custom maps. Thats all. And it came with 3 maps not on the xbox version. Halo 2 vista will be like that except they are making all the graphics better and adding a map builder, Halo 1 was just a direct port. Halo Wars is a Command and conquer type strategy based game which looks bad ass. It hasnt been confirmed yet but i think that will see PC as well.
as for oblivion, i didnt like playing it on PC at all, the controls just felt like it wasnt meant for PC, which almost every review you read says the same thing. Controls were meant for console and its noticeable. I played maybe 10 min of the pc version and gave up.
now that i own it for 360 i cant put it down.

To PC Oblivions defense, plug-ins fix a lot of the problems, like the difficulty ramp as you level. The fact that Magika is really, really weak/useless(lolsummoning) compared to melee. And the ability to make Marksmanship useful.

Not so Skaw, you just have to make your own spells. I can kill anything reasonable in one touch with a spell I have, I dont know of any swords or hammers that can do that.

You can enchant weapons to do the same. It's not like recharging items is hard once you get a certain daedric artifact.

Regardless, Marksmanship is worthless without some plug-ins to make higher tier arrows travel faster instead of flop to the ground like normal.

Comes to mind whenever I see everyone jumping on the "i hate sony" train.

We'll all see what happens on launch.
The only thing in the Wii that appeals to me is its price. But paying 199 for somthing with no worthwhile games seems a bit much.
Nice one there.

Xbox 360 getting all the attension right now because they was first, just like ps2 was for xbox. Until PS3 come out there is not much that can be said. As for wii... N64 was great, but game cube was lacking what 64 had(A mario adventure title), plus with no internet support or dvd it was very lacking but still had great games (mario party, resident evil). If they correct that problem they will be tough player in the new genration of consoles. Though have to agree xbox was lacking the exclusive games and all the multi console games I played on ps2 because I love the controller(which to say im not to impress with any of the new controlers).
SE has been talking about broading between consoles even before the xbox 360 had a name this is nothing new. It a money decsion 3 console = 3 times the fan base = 3 times the profit. Rockstar saw same thing.
