Well, seeing as a thread hasn't been done yet, I'll open one up ^^.

The Box art for the PSP versions of Star Ocean 1 and 2 have been released:

As this is the first time that NA has had Star Ocean 1 it'll be a really awesome experience. Anyone else pumped for this? =D
 
i am, i never get to finish the star ocean 2 on ps1 cause the disk broke before i can beat it. and cant find another copy

this gonna make me get PSP even more
 
Have SO1 reserved, next month! I'll get around to reserving SO2 soon enough, still have 5 months until that one releases anyways.
 
SO2 was such a great game. One of the few RPGs that I did more than one play through on. SO1 I only played once I believe, on a friends emulator. Didn't get too far into it. It was all in japanese so it was hard to play so I don't know how good this game is but the gameplay wasn't too bad.

Yeah I played through it multiple times for the 2 main characters, the possible character pairs you could recruit, 86-87 endings was fun as hell.

Although SO2 for the PSP is more of an enhanced port, I don't mind as it's one of my favorite RPGs, and the prospect of new recruited characters, new, fully voiced dialogue, and fixed up translation are enough to get me to pick that one up. SO1 I need no reason, since it's never been released outside of Japan until next month.
 
/sigh. Time to buy my PsP then.
 
Its looking like it for me too. Maybe though. Only game I wanted for PSP orginally was FFTactics and I wasn't going to buy a PSP just for that one game. Now theres Crisis Core and now this. If this keeps up, I may give in eventually and buy me one.
 
If you're interested in these games there's also Dissidia FF, Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, though those are still a long ways off, maybe not so much with Dissidia, releases in Japan later this year, so hopefully early/mid '09.
 
Gonna pick these two games up for my PSP asap :D

Even if it is coming out in the UK, I'll still get them when they are released in the US.
 
Very nice indeed, I never beat SO2 cuz I couldnt beat the final boss. So I went and leveled up some more to beat the boss, and by accident, during one of the Private Actions while playing as Rena, I accidentally removed the final bosses "limiter" so he ended up EVEN MORE powerful................needless to say I havent beaten him yet /sigh.
 
Well well well... looks like EU gets a release after all:

Tomorrow I'm pre-ordering.

Alot of people are favouring EU over NA with realeases recently...it's happening to a couple of games I want...it makes me question moving to this part of the world ;-;

Star Ocean: The First Departure ships October 21st, 2008 and Star Ocean: Second Evolution ships January 6th, 2009 for North America.

In anycase. Im excited to see PSP is getting more action lately. Cant wait to grab this up.

I've had this and Chrono Trigger DS pre-ordered for a while now, can't wait. Just a little under 3 weeks for Star Ocean: First Departure. Looking forward to Second Evolution come January too.

Funny enough Second Evolution is also dated for a January EU release.
