Stardust

[Stine]

I don't know how many people here are Neil Gaiman fans but I saw the movie yesterday and it was awesome. ^^ Yes they had to shorten the story up but I thought that the actors did a good job and the costumes were awesome. Just wondering what everyone else though about it. It's on limited showings where I live so I don't expect it to stay in theaters very long.

Didn't even know it was based off a book. I saw the movie opening day and it was fantastic. Adventure, non-cheesy love story, humor, Robert Deniro as the BEST PIRATE EVER, great special effects, etc.

I also took a girl out to see this last night... It was a wonderful movie, and I loved it.

Also, I now have developed the habit of calling people whoopsies. lmao

[Xandy]

I can't wait to see this movie

[Jediknight]

Based on a book? Interesting, I should read it sometime.

Watching the trailer made me want to re-read the comic again, its been SO long since i read that thing.....

[Victim]

I've heard alot about this movie. There was a comic and a book out before this? Anyone have an author on either? I'll probably go see it today.

[Allegretto]

Going to see this on Wednesday! The previews make it look really good. ^^

Both by Neil Gaiman. The graphic novel was illustrated by Charles Vess.

Yeah I'm reading the novel again because it has been a long time since I read it.

On a side note: It would be intersting to see how someone would make American Gods into a movie.

I didn't know Stardust was from Gaiman. Wow that just made me go see if I find the Graphic Novel (Vess's art is awesome) and in turn check the movie too. No wonder my friend was so hyped when we saw the trailer on TV. I have a lot of Gaiman's work in DC (Sandman, Death and The Books of Magic). He is awesome.

ps - He created Angela and Medieval Spawn too when he moved to Image in the 90s when the book was illustrated by Greg Capullo. Spawn got better because of him. ^^

[Excalibur]

I didn't know this was based off a book either, first time I heard about it was a few weeks ago when I saw a trailer. I really really wanna see this but it's not playing anywhere around here so I'll have to wait for it to come out on dvd. I love fantasy flicks. Really homo name though, could they not think of anything better than Stardust?

[memu]

Stardust was a good read, but he should've pitched for American Gods. I hear hes trying to get the Sandman series made into a movie, now that would be freaking sweet.

[Allegretto]

The movie was absolutely wonderful! Loved every minute of it. I think Robert Deniro made the movie.. XD

Rereading the book now.
