starting over..can it be done?

well...I sold my account a while ago, since I didnt have any time for ffxi anymore and got bored of it, but I wanted to come back to just mess around and have some fun in my free free time, when im just sitting with nothing to do.

friends of mine have tried to restart ffxi and told me that no one levels low lv jobs anymore and its basically impossible to get past the lower levels anymore...is this true?

I know 'anything' is possible...but I just want to know if ffxi is the way it was before, or if hardly anyone is low level anymore.

I doubt the 10,000+ players on this server have finished levelling all their subjobs. There will always be someone in the lower levels wanting to take some job to at least 37.

It's all basically the same it was before, but everyone's got a lot more l33t gear now and most people have at least one 75 job.

I just recently started over and it is going great. Thanks to all my friends. Many of them are leveling up other jobs or starting to level a 2nd character giving me people to level with. I've also still been able to find parties with just the LFP flag. I wouldn't worry too much.

I know there are still some jobs I want to lvl, and I've been around since a few months after release. Sure, there's not going to be as much traffic as in times past, but you do what you have to do. Organizing a lowbie static here on QCDN or in your ls(old lss or new ls) to get you through the lower levels would work too.

MMOs constantly have a flow of new players joining and quitting all the time, the likelihood that there will be no low levels to party with is VERY low. In addition, like everyone else is saying, there's always people levelling lowbie jobs.

screw parties solo 1-20~25 then try and party. most people dont like partying in dunes anymore especially with the exp ring options. but never say they aren't out there because recently a couple months ago i lvld to mid 20's with pick up parties and soloing

yeah i think u can definitely come back without much of a problem, its probably not as filled in some places as it used to be, but many of us still level our lower jobs, shouldnt be a problem at all and welcome back
