I've heard rumors that with the ps2 version, upon installing and downloading the updates/patches when you go to select the world (select as in it selects the world for you) there's something like a back button you can press if the world generated is not the one you want to join. Anyone experimented with this? So instead of buying a world pass to join Quetz I could toggle the worlds using the back button kind of like an internet browser until I find the one I want to join...

My brother and I used to do this back in the day, but we did it a different way. We used to cancel out of the screen where you would select the handle to be used. You character was already assigned the server, so you could just go back to the Select character screen and it would say which server. Rinse and repeat until you get the server you want. But since they changed the handle system I don't know how you can do it.
I know that you don't need a World pass if you have a character already in that server, if the name is available your new character will automatically be created in the same server as your other one. Not sure how this works with character on multiple servers as all mine are on Quetzy.
