Ok, for my static between me and my friends, they need another support and I said I will be RDM, and the RNG was like "No, BRD is better, RDM sucks."

Just to make it short, what would be the better support in this type of party:
DRG/WAR, RNG/NIN, PLD/WAR, BLM/WHM, WHM/BLM...
BRD or RDM?

Depends
If your fighting crab, something you do for a long time, I'd say RDM is better, dispel is 10second timer, Finale is 30. So RDM can debuff a crab better. BRDs getd prelude, eletude etc.

I would personally go with RDM, as you are not stuck with a WHM sub, and you can convert to keep going for those longer chaining sessions. It all depends on your style.

Side note: I would just do the one that I found more fun.....so it's up to you.

The RNG wants the BRD's accuracy support. :P

What's a cooler job to you, my friend?

My friend is stubborn, so I'm just trying to prove my point that Red Mage would be better for our static since with Bard the PLD would have to move around with the mages to get Ballad before the puller comes back with a mob, however, if someone would prove me wrong that Bard would be better, then ok

Moving around really isn't that big of a deal. I would think your party would like the accuracy and other bonuses a pld could give. But that's just my opinion. The only thing drawback i could see with having a bard (and I'm sure it could be woked with) is recasting ballad during the fight. There are times you'd want the pld to be facing the mages so the mages don't get aoe's. so the pld would miss out on mid battle ballad. But we have a bard and pld in my static and it seems to be working very well.

Bard is better by FAR...

A good Bard can mean a lot more experience per hour then a good RDM can influence.

The below setup will work for putting songs only onto DRG and RNG and also if you sometimes want a song on PLD as well with them, and will also work to put songs just on Mages or on Mages + PLD...

Code:
(BARD) DRG >> RNG >> Enemy << PLD BLM -|- WHM (BARD)

Only person that needs to move is the Bard into 1 of 4 positions (2 of them are just a bit closer then the 2 Ive illustrated so that the PLD can get either the MP regen or the DD songs) and the Ranger needs to move back and forth between his normal position and behind PLD for cover. No one else should move.

In all honesty- if it's you who are going to be filling that role, then the choice should be 100% yours. If you take bard because of the pressure you're getting from your friends, and end up hating the job, how long do you think the static will last under those circumstances?

I've played both jobs in my static- Bard to 40, and RDM 41+. They were both very busy jobs, but I found myself getting burned out faster playing Bard. I think it's all the running, heh. RDM is my personal choice, because I feel I have more flexibility than with bard- if something happens that needs my attention with RDM, it was easy for me to shift gears. With bard, if I'd just hit a song macro, I was effectively frozen for 6 to 8 seconds before I could react to a potential problem.

Most people prefer bard, because bard offers more for the other players. Post-25 85% of what a bard does is buffing other players- the other 15% is debuffing. As a bard, all you'll be doing is going from one song to another, with an occasional cure or status cure in between. What a bard does is subtle, but effective- they make everyone else work better. However, if you're like me, and prefer to actually see the results of your efforts in more than just XP earned, then you'll prefer RDM.

Above all though, I want to reiterate this point- the choice should be yours and yours alone. Don't give in to pressure and play a job you're only lukewarm on just because your friends want better buffs. ;)
