in the past 2 months, Boston Market, 7 gas stations, about 12 cvs ( swat team is now at all cvs in the county) and many more robbery's

yesterday 2 clerks were found shot and killed at a gas station.

we have had 98 murders in the past 9 months. Crime is Up 38%

The funny thing is all the murder suspects are African American's and are in the major gangs in broward. South FL is getting worse then La.


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- A miniature crime wave struck Broward County, Fla., when three homicides, a fatal hit-and-run and an armed robbery were reported in one 12-hour period.


The violent incidents -- which do not seem to be related -- began at 1:22 a.m. Saturday, when a man who goes by the nickname "El Tigre" allegedly walked into a Fort Lauderdale sports bar and shot Wilson Zelaya, 33, without saying a word, The Miami Herald reported Sunday.

At 6 a.m., Andre Hall, 26, was found shot to death in the parking lot of his apartment complex.

Around noon Saturday, Fort Lauderdale police began investigating the death of 22-year-old Devon Mapp, whose bullet-riddled body was found in an alley, the newspaper said.

Also, the Broward Sheriff's Office investigated a 6 a.m. convenience story robbery, and the Florida Highway Patrol looked for the driver of a Ford pickup truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident. The crash caused a driver to swerve off the road, and the driver was killed when the vehicle struck a pole.
 
The major problem is the judges give these low life's and scum parole and then 5 mins later someone else gets killed.

The major problem with the crime in broward county is the ex sheriff

The plea deal came as Jenne faced possible grand jury indictment on more serious money-laundering and other charges after a two-year corruption investigation into his outside business transactions. But the agreement also likely will land Jenne in prison for at least a year under federal sentencing guidelines.

Under the agreement, Jenne is pleading guilty to three counts of tax evasion and one count of mail fraud, according to a senior federal law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity because the papers had not been filed Tuesday morning.

Jenne made his resignation official Tuesday morning in an e-mail to his employees and in a separate letter to Gov. Charlie Crist.
 
I'll make a guess and say that young teenagers robbed the gas stations. The young teenagers robbed them and gave it to their older gang leaders. No idea what Boston Market is.

Why? because its very common for older gang members to find younger kids that's easy to manipulate to perform robberies for them. That way they can get money, without getting caught for it themselves. So what the police should be looking for is an organized crime group, because later on they'll start robbing larger stores and private homes. Gas stations are just the training part. They rarely have any heavy security, so its easy to get away with it.

It'll be even more fun when they start the next phase of walking house-to-house trying to rip people off by pretending to sell cheap help, such as asphalting your driveway and ask for pre-payment for materials, and then call in their men, pretend to start working, and leave your driveway in a mess, then go somewhere else and do the same thing.

I'd be surprised if that happened. I'd expect them to just walk up, ring the doorbell, then when someone answers rob them. If someone doesn't answer, break in and rob the house anyway.
 
If this is scary to you, I'd suggest never visiting Baltimore, MD. In the last month I'd say there have been about 4 homicides w/ no one arrested for them yet in my neighborhood alone. The gang activity has recently gotten so out of hand and widespread that even county school have been on high alert. My side of town has been hit with a large number of Rolling Sixes members in the last couple of years and I swear I can't wait to move...

If you're trying to avoid crime, though, I'd say you probably need to hide in a bomb shelter. I don't even want my baby going to public school in the Baltimore area. The elementary school kids are holding each other at gun point.
 
as horrible as that may sound with all those murders down there, here in philadelphia(not bragging i am kinda embrassed by this) we are averaging over 1.something a day murders this year, over 90% from guns alone. gun laws are killing people ,and i dont want to hear people kill people when i was coming up we used our fists. i got my nose broken 4 times didnt win them all, but i gained respect. they need to make getting guns harder and to hell with the nra and our right to bear arms. most young boys today would not know what to do in a toe to toe fight, right away they pull out there glocks fucking shame it is
 
1-9 people in broward county own at least 1 gun. We need gun control.

fuck i can go to walmart and buy a 9mm handgun with only showing my state Id. No background checks nothing

I definitely understand what you're saying, but I think youth in general have some real issues with agression/anger management. I mean, I went to the movies a few weeks ago and midway through the movie, 4 men just start fighting and cause a complete riot in the theater, forcing the police to evacute everyone because one of them had a weapon. Not to mention this was a FAMILY MOVIE and my kid was there with me. It's just a shame people can't go anywhere and not have to deal with senseless violence. Can't even go pick up your 13 year old's birth control pills at the CVS without getting stuck up!

The company i work for just had 4 managers killed because they were robbed.


Its all the crime and murders. Most of the crime comes from down broward Blvd by martin Luther king st. Its the Ghetto with alot of ethics but mostly a certain race....

of all suspects that they have found about 90% were African American

I have many friends that are cops, they say its a death zone.

Lec you need to wake the fuck up, Stop playing the game for 5 min and read the news.

Wide awake, lived here 23 years(edit: all of my life almost), never been robbed, assaulted or anything by people I don't know. Had a gun in my face, but surprise surprise, it wasn't a stranger. It was an ex-friend of mine.

Crime is a big issue here. Crime this year is 38% higher then last year and we still have 2 months to go,
 
Crime is a big issue everywhere. No offense man but if ya hate here in Florida, then ya need to find another place to go. Frankly, your posts whining about this, that and the other are just old, and fucking annoying to see a new one every day..

Don't like the way shit is run in Florida, simple.. move. Same with this country, you don't like the way shit is ran in the US. Move. Not like you don't have more options these days onw here you want to live and work. Making more senseless threads, about basically the same complaints is annoying.
 
We have to many people if crime is up 38%.

1. Most illegal people do not cause crime, there study's most of the crime come from our own citizens. ( i will find a link when i get home from work)

2. iso and lec you guys say im bitching and whining. Please if u dont like my bitching then turn around and stay out of the LOUNGE. I am trying to have a conversation on crime nation wide not just south Fl. Also 6 cops killed and how many robbery's does it take you guys to open your eyes.

Im sorry but when i moved here 5 years ago it was very safe very little crime. In the past 2 years crime has risen. People say it the economy i say that bull shit. We need more cops on the street.

There is a freedom of speech and that is what i am doing, voicing my ideas..)

So, you want to have a conversation about this topic... but only if the people responding are agreeing with you? Last time I checked that wasn't how a conversation/debate worked.

Also, to say we are ignorant about the situation down here, is laughable. Lec has been here most of his life, I believe. And I have been down here at least 10 years.

No city is perfect, and yeah there is crime everywhere you go. You want to post about the same things:

"Waaaaah... Idk if I can stay in this country, so I'm going to complain about how much the US sucks ass."

"Waaaaah... my brother got robbed, so I hate South Florida, and all the minorities that are "fucking up" Dowtown."

I'm all for making changes, dude. My boyfriend works at a gas station, and every other station around the area has been robbed, or held up at gun point, except his. It's a shitty situation to worry about, but that's life, sorry.

You don't like the crime rate in FLA, find somewhere else to live.
