Stolen Charybdis!

congratulations to the linkshell Selene, for the new joyeuse that they stole from me, you fucks!
heres the story, i was camping charybdis, this ls gathers over time, charybdis pops. they claim it, i let them fight it. they die, so i claim it, start kiting it to the pond (im solo at this point, rdm/nin) i lose hate, it starts walking back, so do I. i end up claiming it again and start gravity/bind/poison kiting it around the spawn area, it all goes well until a devil manta pops and im force to bind, gravity, sneak up and try to kite to the pond again(by this time my friend Oliveman, and my ls mate Madlavitz were otw.) i lose hate again kiting it to the pond, but this time, instead of it walking back, Selene's ls member Masamura vokes it and steals the NM, they proceed to take it back to the tunnel were it spawns and kill it, many deaths due to retarded and ill-geared nins, 3 people hitting it at once, they manage to kill it, thus wasting my time, and stooping low as fuck as to steal such an annoying NM. thanks selene, you fucks!:)

hate to say it, they didnt really steal it. you didnt have the ability at the time to kill it. regardless of "people coming". they have "people there" with the ability to kill it.
i know its an annoying monster to get, i sat down there for a week waiting for my chance to get it.
 
I know its frustrating but not everyone will be courtesy enough to wait for you to die to take an NM like you did with them.

And yeah, Charybdis is serious business to lotsa people.

Couple groups I helped or was going to help had theirs bucked before.

Just a part of camping...
 
Ill have to tell Eulore/Masamura Congrats on finally getting a joytoy again. He asked me to help him camp it but i was busy... All and all you were not prepared to kill it and lost the claim because of that, next time be prepared to kill it instead of being prepared to waste other people's time.
 
i was prepared to kill it, i had it DoT'd and was otw to the pond to kite/nuke solo, with 2 people otw to help in the meantime, its not like i was just holding it. but its cool, im over it, im sure any of you would've gotten pissed if it happened to you as well.

Unrelated, but I had someone tell me to go die in a car accident the other day cause I claimed Eastern Shadow over them.

But honestly, its not really there fault. They got the claim first anyway, so you wouldn't have had a chance at it anyway. You got lucky they fucked up and died, then you blew that chance by losing claim. They got unlucky, then you got unlucky, then they got lucky. Shit happens. If it makes you feel any better I am 0/20 on vbow as of today. 16-32 is a bit more of a bitch than 8-12, but oh well you'll get it eventually.
 
Didn't you technically steal it from them? Sure, they wiped, but they just needed time to recoup before trying again. Then you had to go and snatch it right from them.
How could a pot like you call the kettle black?
 
I've helped many people get this NM and seen many less than polite incidences during claiming and waiting/watching for wipes, this NM has such a stupid long spawn time and its hard to get people to stay so long.

Hopefully you get another chance, I've given up on it myself cant be bothered with all the counter camping crap personally.

I felt pissed off at going 1/7 on it. You sir, have broken my record. But, speaking about the window on that, 16-32 isn't really that bad. It usually pops within the 1st 5 hours of the window.

From my experience I've never seen it go more than 6 hours to spawn.


And responding to Deja, Masa actually got his this morning, I was at the kill, they we're going back for another LS member at this kill.

Nothing really new here. "Stealing mobs" happens every day in this game - same in every other mmorpg.
Like everyone else says - if it turns yellow then you can claim it.

I have never had anyone ask me or my shell:
"Are you going to try and zombie this mob until you can kill it or can we take it?"
"Do you have ppl on the way?, if you have then we just wait"

Point is: If you cant kill it - its a free mob for everyone else to have.
Normal procedure is that if a shell wipes and EVERYONE is dead. its a free claim. At least that is how it works for me

I dont say that it is a fantastic unwritten rule, but it works.

Charybdis tends to bring out the worst in people unfortunately, due to the fact of how long its pop window takes to open, and how long the bastard takes to pop in general. Sorry to hear about your loss, glad you finally got claim and drop though.
 
Next time Convert and cure IV yourself a couple times to get the hate back. You can also cast extra spells (sleep and blind) to just keep it claimed and enimty generated.
 
they are there for the same reason you are, and some ppl wouldnt have taken it..while most other ppl would have

would just be better to blame the game than other people
