Stop buying Ulli stones, you *#%*tards

Zyndara i remember you buying a stack of sole sushi from an RMT seller, does that make you a supporter of RMT?

Did you get dropped on your head as a child, you imbecile? The only place I buy my food from is... like virtually every other player in the goddamned game... the Auction House. And, lo and behold, since I'm not psychic, and I'm pretty fucking sure there's a majority of non-RMT cooking crafters out there, how the hell would I know who I'm buying from. We're not talking about okote or some multi-million gil nm drop that has a 90% chance of being RMT, we're talking about food: something used every day by every player in the game. To even attempt to make that connection, you must be either supremely stupid or unreasonably illogical at the very least.

More than one person in 60+ pages has said it, but I'll say it again for the learning imparied. There's a big difference between buying at the AH, especially something like food, which everyone uses and is crafted by a hell of a lot more non-RMT than RMT, and buying Autumnstones which are in high demand and low supply and are more often than not being peddled by RMT.

Kinda funny that I'm not the only one who's posted here who opposes the purchasing of Autumnstones yet you're singling me out. Why is that again? Do I even know you? Why would you be stalking my AH purchases anyway? I mean feel free... nothing there I'm afraid of, but really are you that bored?

So yeah Meastoso you pretty much quoted me, but i will put this in context for you. Had been pt'ing for hours in mire and 2 of your members parked right on top of us. I checked both of them and and realized both were kaizen...and yes i prolly did start what ensued. Im not gonna hide that. Made a comment like "Wow not only do you buy stones, you also feel the need to park on a pre-existing camp" ... yeah i instigated that, but all i did was state a fact.

After that i was checked and immediately attacked at what gear i might have been wearing. So 2 of your members made a point to just spam "Byakko's Haidate" in /say and /tell me how gimp i was. Not to mention admitting
the whole stone fiasco.

Well to make a long story short, You are the only member of that ls
that i have had a civilized conversation with. The other 2 that were there felt
the need to belittle or somehow think they were pissing me off...basically just
trying to get a rise out of me. Well to be honest... coulda cared less about anyone else's opinion on my gear.. The whole spamming of "HAIDATE, DO U NEED IT" .... was just childish.

So ... i don't hate kaizen or harbor any i'll will. I just have no respect. And yes
there were smiley faces because i found the whole incident amuzing and pretty much "On Par" with almost every member ive had the displeasure of running into.

No, im not indecisive. I don't hate/harbor any ill will.
I just have no respect, and personally i don't think i'm the only who feels that way.

I remeber that, I was on Vent at the time. You were the one wearing the spike necklace on a 75 job right?

problem is, windaria got ip baned... so unless they got another IP from their ISP + a different NIC for a different MAC address also then its not windaria. Not to menton that it wouldn't be too hard to imitate her typing style.

There's several different ways they could of gone about the banstick for her. They may of simply only banned a registration IP from her which would allow what we see now. She goes elsewhere registers, then goes back home and posts because the posting IP would be different from the registration. I'm already looking into this and while I may of pointed fingers already, I was quick to take it back after finding out something new about the IP adresses.

mish have to slightly disagree

Dreamscometrue(rmt) is always camping jujustu gi >_<

And Rappa, that's really only half-right. If demand drops low enough, they'll give up on that particular NM. They actually stopped going after Jujitsu Gi/Archer's Knife/Dodge Earring around July-September. Though you are right in this case, I seriously doubt the demand for Ullistones would ever drop low enough for RMT to give up on it, unless a craptop of people decide to get Barbarossa's Zerehs instead.
No, you're confusing the older gilsellers with the newer dickslap breed. These new ones don't have to leave because they are constantly making new ones. If they can make even one profitable sale a week, then those guys are gonna be sitting right there where they are now. The day that no one on the entire server needs haidate or osode will be half past never.

Edit: To elaborate, the older rmt generation like the Large crew and the Peterli crew actually had to bounce around between hnm camps because they couldn't be at everything at once. These new ones that are popping up don't have that problem because there are hundreds at any given time to attend every camp they want covered. And yeah, they still go after Jujitsu Gi, just only send like 1 person to the smaller item camps.

My brother(56pld) camp the the last 2 weekends and claim dang near every one. No GS in sight. Well the only way they leave if there was agreement to boycott the stones and seals, problem with that is NA and JP look at this differently

How do they look at this differently? Last I checked, there's several Japanese sights dedicated to listing RMT on all servers, or specifically on Quetz. They feel the same way about it as we do. Saying that we're two different breeds on this subject is just fucking silly.

Good lord, this is still going on? anyway...

Deer in the headlights... hmm, no... not quite. The fact is we know that at least 5~6 of the 8-10 stones we purchased were from legit players. the other 3~5... maybe not, but none of the mules we purchased from were obvious bazaars for RMT (ie. they didn't have Cassie's earring/Strider Boots/any other obvious RMT items in them, nor did they have the engrish comments RMT bazaars so often have).

I realize that most of you feel no legit LS in their right mind would sell an ulli stone, but we know this is not the case based on the majority of our autumn stone transactions. Yes, chances are one or more of the stones came from RMT, we aren't so dumb not to realize that is a risk... but the majority have not been... and we try to take measures to decrease the likelihood that lvl 1 bazaar purchases where we do not get to talk with the seller are RMT as well (or at least I do when I'm on). As for names... These stones have not all been purchased recently. its been a rather spread out habbit. Maybe someone could name off the last 1-2, but beyond that I doubt anyone remembers b/c frankly we didn't anticipate we would be asked to justify our actions to QCDN, and its been too long to remember most of the names casually.

I know this point has been beat over and over again, but when the LS discussed stone purchasing as an option we discussed the situation in sky and decided it was worth the risk. We are not ok with buying from RMT, many of us do not like that it is a risk... That said, we feel we can reasonably minimize that risk... and so we are willing to take it from time to time. This is not something we are proud of... but frankly we wouldn't be proud to kill ulli either. Sky is simply too old hat for us for it to be a source of pride, challenge, or anything else. Even the speed kill kirins are simply a way to insure we spend no more time up there than we must to fill in a few gear gaps for new jobs/new members.

Also, another point that I have not seen posted is that we do not buy all of our stones (we actually DO camp ulli, zomg). Do you see us in sky all that often, if at all? No... not really. For one, it's true that we don't go there all that often, maybe once a week on average... but also, when we camp, we deliberately start during a time that not many NA are up there (b/c of how late it is... or because it is midday and ppl are at work) and when not many JP are on (b/c most of them are still at work... or they are sleeping), in order to avoid wasting our time going up when half of what we want to do is being done by other people.

Lastly, to all those who have lost respect for the LS... or feel that this fact invalidates all that we do: while i'm sorry to hear this is how you feel, because we do take pride in the fact that we are (were?) held in high esteem... we don't actually play this game to earn your approval/respect. It is certainly something we value but... believe it or not, we play to have fun, like everyone else. Ulli isn't fun to anyone, but it really isn't fun to people who have killed him hundreds of times already... and if there is a way to use our work from one activity in game to reduce the redundancy and demoralizing boredom involved in another, it is something our leadership is going to consider doing.

Is it a cop out to buy stones, from legit sources even (the whole weak-sauce thing that’s been mentioned)? Maybe... idk. To me, and this absolutely would apply to any other group... there is a point in time where one earns the right to say that it is a given that they can fulfill the requirements to get to __________ without actually having to do it.

We, as a group, have nothing to prove when it comes to sky... we KNOW we can do it. We, as a group, decided to buy stones on occasion; and we, as a group, do what we can to avoid questionable purchases. That is good enough for most of us. It does not cross our definition of ethics, though it may come close... And well- If you feel it is immoral to take a risk... and if you feel these reasons and attempts at controlling who we buy from are not good enough for you... There is nothing really I can do for you :(

Not enough numbering... not an ordered list... you have failed me... forever

RMT will continue a given activity so long as it's profitable.

If nobody buys Ulli stones from RMT, then they'll either a.) use them to kill Byakko, which is less likely, or b.) simply go somewhere else. They take the path of least resistance, after all.

If you can't out-claim them consistently (and when an army of tarus warps across the board and claims a mob it's kinda hard to beat that unless you get lucky), then you attack the demand.

When I'm browsing Bazaars, especially so in BD, I don't give a shit about the names of the person the items are on unless they're garbled letters. So yeah, not remembering the name is realistic.

But knowing you, it was just meant a subtle insult towards North Americans/Europeans. Fuck off and die already.

*You* might be a two-bit retard that can't remember things worth shit. But we're not talking about you now, are we?

*You* might be a dolt who doesn't care if he supports RMT or not. Ergo, *you* might not care who you're buying from. Just because your puerile behavior happened to coincide with someone else's, you don' t need to publically display an outburst of joy that you're not the only mental midget around.

Don't worry, it's not an attack on NAs! I wouldn't do something as precarious as to offend all of the 95% of the population above you on the intelligence scale by foolishly epitomizing *you* as the "typical NA."

God I hope so, Nasya's post needs to have put an end to this thread.

Given how many times Kaizen posters or others/fanboys have declared this thread as a "win" and yet it continues.... probably not. Mostly because the fundamental argument remains, and remains valid despite justifications.
