Why is it that no matter what SE does to this game half the people complain?

What set this off in addition to all the other BS was a thread about the NPC. People are complaining because the NPC leaves if you zone. Jesus man why dont you just ask SE to create you a NPC party that will stay with you all the time.

Oh no the new r/ex gear cant be traded to my mule!!!! WTF you complain about gilsellers, SE fixes that and now you complain about how they do it.

I dont have room in my mog house for the r/ex stuff!!!! So.

Any other complaints I missed?

Dude Tyran, if the NPC leaves upon zoning then it is pretty fucked up. There is a 20hour real life wait for you to get it again, from what I read on another post. SE creates something and then half asses it.
 
Also what is wrong with linking rare/ex items to the users account rather than the individual character?
 
Well first if you wanted a buddy to play with you get a friend or become a BST or SMN. The NPC is to assist when you need it not to help you solo to 75. Why whould your mule need these items? If your mule is the lvl to wear them your mule is the lvl to get them. Why does everthing have to be so F****** easy.
 
Concerning the rare/ex drops if they make em that way.. you could ya know always just go get the item whenever.. and throw it away as necessary since.. ya know.. considering rare/ex they won't really be camped..

but hey..

Ya i know ive been bitching way too much about this update....cuz its screwed me over in two ways. My Ranger now sucks and I can no longer farm LL for money like i used to (8/19) I guess i gotta get used to it. But really now, if this update really doesnt apply to you (non rangers, non NM campers) then you really cant say "Stop complaining" :) Yeah but im gonna try to control myself a bit more after i already posted while i was mad >.>

A. This is the flame board, and you're whining in another thread I assume (OH NO I ASSUMED!!!!) and
B. There is nothing wrong with linking rare/ex item to one player. You know...like it has been for...ever.

What's wrong with having trees fall when you log them?
What's wrong with dual wielding pebbles as H2H weapons?
What's wrong with having the auction house in alphabetical order?
What's wrong with spaces in names?

What's the point of your question if it's blatantly pointless to answer? There's nothing wrong. That's just not how it is, so it's annoying for you to ask even IF you don' thave some exploiting reason why you'd want to be able to give this rare/ex item to your mule. If you're too lazy to get the normal item, but then whine that the rare/ex takes up too much room...dang it you're just going to have to admit that you're SoL here.

They throw people steak dinners, and they whine that they're full...

Just so you know, the NPC calling item works like a Reraise earring or a Warp Cudgel. You have to put it on and wait 30 seconds before being able to call the NPC. Tell me if you've got shitloads of aggro you can equip an item, wait 30 seconds, then stand still for another 30 seconds or so while you "use" the item.

Just some observations about the NPC:

1. No matter how the NPC is "dismissed" whether it be you sending him away, getting him killed, zoning, etc. You ahve to wait 20 RL hours. No ifs, ands, or buts.

2. He can't be called in Eldieme Necropolis, this sort of leads me to believe that he PROBABLY won't be able to be called in must dungeon areas (Ie: Garlaige Citadel, Crawlers nest, etc).

3. He starts off at lvl 30, and it seems the default is a WAR using a regular sword and a shield. In addtion to this, it seems yo ucan't change the said job manually.

While the NPC might be nifty for soloing, calling him in an emergency really isn't an option. You'll be dead before you can summon him. Also, leveling him up might be a bit difficult (If you're on a job above his, ie: lvl 55, with a lvl 30 NPC) because most of the mobs in the open fields are already Too Weak, and you gain no exp from them. However, I don't know if the NPC itself will still gain exp.

Those are just a few of my observations in the 20 minutes I screwed around in Battalia (after trying to call him in Eldieme, and got a message saying I couldn't). Also, I went to the rendezvous point and checked his status (these points are located in each of the main cities) and He switched from teh scale armor he had on, to Mythril Breastplate. Kinda wierd seeing that on a character that is supposed to be level 30.

It hit me as well with the rng just notthat worried. And as far as the NM's go they didnt touch my NM so im not worried on this eather :wink:
