Just as the title says.

I drank too much last night and was throwing up blood. My girl got scared, but helped me through it. I didn't like seeing her scared so I decided to not drink no more.

I've pretty much stopped drinking, I spent £2,000 in 6 weeks in the Summer before I turned 18. I had nothing to show for it except an extra 20-30kg of weight. The only time I drink now is a glass of wine if I go out for a meal, or a few beers when i'm over in Germany at my girlfriend's. I feel far better now then I did when I drank quite heavily.

Were you the shitfaced college dolt knocking on my apartment door at 4 AM?

This is another reason I should be glad I decided I am over drinking... the idea of throwing up blood makes me feel sick...

GL on sticking with it... sometimes learning the hard/scary way works best.

Throwing up anything = no thanks.
Good job on not drinking.

we'll see.. lol

I decided that I will just watch how much I drink

If you've truly got a problem with it, that won't work. True addiction is only resolved with a "cold turkey" mentality. Of course, if you're not an alcoholic, you might be able to pull this off.

I guess it all depends on how severe your dependency on the stuff was.

My wife got pissed off at me for staying out waaaaaaay too late once at the end of last month (got home at 8 or 9am, club called my WIFE for directions for the taxi driver. don't befriend club owners... lol) and I made the (dumb) move of promising I wouldn't drink in June.

I haven't done too bad. Probably 8 drinks total during the month. 5 at a company function and 3 at a resort. Not quite what I promised, but you can't avoid alcohol at company functions... Haven't brought home a six pack in way too long. D: I could really go for some beer now.

But it's a good idea to cut back from time to time.

5 more days. Then it's going to feel like I just turned 21 again! Weeeeeeee!

Edit: How do you throw up blood from drinking? You must have been drinking some hard shit! You sure you didn't eat carrots or have tomato soup or drink a redeye or something? :P

It's from smoking and drinking. Mostly the smoking.

But he will NEVER admit that, he'll admit to the drinking and give it up before the smoking. Even though he knows deep down what it is.

Yeah, the only time I ever coughed up blood was from smoking. And smoking can get REALLY harsh if there are drinks involved. I've gone through two packs in one evening at a club on several occasions. The next day is usually me just coughing up a bunch of nasty crap.

i smoked about 6cigerates that night.. normally i smoke bout 1-2 a day.

That's not that bad. Definitely not enough to make you cough up blood.

It just takes self control, and learning your limits. It took me about a semester of college to learn how much I could handle without puking or feeling like total crap the next day. Once you know how to pace yourself to keep a buzz going it's just a matter of not drinking when you need to stay sober.

I've never heard of anyone puking blood from drinking, it sounds like you might have an ulcer or something more serious (I had a mild ulcer when I was about 17, you can get them at a young age) Caffiene, smoking, fast food, and an otherwise unhealthy diet will all contribute to an ulcer.

The worst thing you can do when you drink too much is to not puke. Your body wants the toxins out, and if you don't get them out you're looking at possible alchohol poisoning, which is a hundred times worse than a puke taste in your mouth the next morning.

thats wat I do whenever i drink... if i feel like throwing up.. i'm gonna just go and do it.. i don't give a shit if ppl call me {Too weak} lol

(i posted a picture link on the first post)

I learned the hard way about puking, went out drinking with some college buddies and drank like I used to, after a couple years without drinking more than 1-2 beers at a time. I fell asleep by laying on my back to keep the room from spinning, and woke up after about 4 hours and ran to the bathroom to puke. After a couple more hours I woke again to puke again, watched TV for a couple hours and drank a glass of water, which quickly came back up. After dry heaving a few times over the next few hours I tried eating, which was a bad idea. Finally the next evening I was able to keep food down again.

I like the bong next to the toilet. That's class.

I don't drink nearly as much as I used to. My friends and I used to go nuts every weekend, but after a while, i got sick of getting sick and spending the next day hungover. I drink maybe once a month now, sometimes twice.

It honestly wasn't that hard to slow down. The first few parties my friends were brutal, and having to be DD all the time blows, but its been worth not spending half my weekend like a zombie.

Good luck.
