Hey gues i was bored, and have been salivating over coming back to the world. But i don't have the money right now to go out and buy the stuff. So until then i was wondering if you would all impart some of your epic stories. :biggrin:

Anyway, I guess I'll share some of mine, yet they hardly count as "epic" in the face of some peoples'.
Probably the most exciting and unexpected thing to happen during my entire FFXI tenure so far has been a certain KA (King Athro) pop. I went with just 3 other people from late NotoriousHunters, we get claim (lolNH), and gogo Speed Belt. I almost pissed my pants, I was so excited. With that nice 12M, I finally pushed BLM to 75 and got Cloth to 80.
Another story, was my Maat fight. I was just gonna wing it, and not look at any strategy, just to see if I *could* possibly beat him using only my knowledge of BLM and not others. All and all, I get him to like 1%, I have slightly over 100 HP left with very little MP and hes running toward me. My highest tier spell I had access to at the time (due to MP....><) was Aero II. While I'm casting the spell, he hits me and I drop to 7 HP. Somehow, the spell was not interrupted and it managed to barely kill him. 7 HP gogo!
CoP also brought along some memories. 2-5 was a pain; it took me 1/7 (more or less because I wasn't dedicated enough to really form my own group). Once my static was formed, the airship battle (6-4) was fun (I hate you Equalizer...). We were recovering from a wipe, with 60 seconds remaining. We charge the last 8% of Ultima with some of us still weakened. Wow...my heart was beating at least 200/minute. Lol. And during 8-3 (the infamous pot battle), I held my breath the entire time. "Kill the pots before sleepga wears, which is like 15 seconds!" Lol.
Fun time, fun times.

Thanks alot for posting Rhinegold. It was a nice read. I can't wait to finally re-buy the software, and then re-install. Cause reading others experiances is fun in it's own special way.
The time that i had a spot of luck was getting my summoner's ruby to activate carby. That and actually finding a party that would mess with a Rdm/Nin >.> I like being combat mage.
