Strange Enimity Problem

Last nighht i decided to help a Summoner with the AF fight in the Cloister of Gales(the Manticore Fight). And i was me (71PLD) the SMN(dont remeber level) a 75BLM, a 75 WHM, and Prade (i cant remeber which job he had)

But here is what happend i went in and voke and flashed with my normal tanking ruiteen, and before i could revoke Prade took agro off me. i was O_o so i Warcryied AND Ramparted.. Didnt turn it, SEntinaled... didnt turn it, Sheild bashed and it didnt turn it either. I was like WTF... EVEN Invicible didnt turn it

as a Lev71 PLd im not lacking in gear at all with +14 enimity and +24 VIT but I couldnt turn it off Prade after using ever Agro+ Ability i had plus the every 30 second voke and 45 second flashs... nothing worked...

Did i just get a flook in the system and it didnt compile the agro i was trying to make? or was Prade just inflicting such massive damage that i couldnt do anything.

Any other PLD ever have this problem?
 
If he was on his monk and used hundred fist, you're not getting hate back until he's dead.
 
Completely unrelated, but funny nontheless.

In a party the other night, our MNK used 100-fists with the mob at 50%, and he never pulled hate. What an uber monk he was.
 
its Prade.

Wish I were that lucky. Enmity-3 in merits, and it doesn't do a damn thing.
 
The first things that come to mind are what level was Prade, what gear did he have on, and has he done any merits?
 
We've had some odd hate issues in my xp static... my co-tank Motley first vokes, AOE, our BLM Stuns so we can recast shadows... and he pulls hate with Stun. Aruhh?!

Seen this on several different mob types, so we can't attribute it to hate reset. But there certainly does seem to be some issues in-game with hate not being planted where it should, when it should. Never seen a case that bad though.

Side note, what's with the different sig every week?
 
if Prade was on MNK you can't tank with a normal tanking routine <.<;

And if he uses hundred fist you can't tank at all <.<;
 
Lol prade is old school.Don't feel bad if you can't get hate from him =).There is a reason elvaan is the best race in game keke
 
Im just playing around with my Image editor. So im trying new stuff and contantly making new pictures and photos with edits and stuff. And all im doing to my Sig is just tweaking it ever i find out how to use a difrent aspect of the editor :) im kinda self teaching myself how to use it so.

Im gonna keep the one i just put up for a long time though casue i really like it.

That I didn't know, thanks... but should that overpower a Provoke with +4 to +7 enmity?
 
Most AF3 NMs don't con very high to 70+ jobs so I'm guessing Prade is like 70+ MNK? Anything VT and below is nice and squishy for MNKs to rip apart. Anything lower than VT though, unless you are doing damage to help with your other hate producing abilities or are setup mainly for +Enmity (Lv73 Adaman set is nice enmity +) you aren't going anywhere. I'm assuming he wasn't taking much damage either or "maybe" a few Cure IVs might have got it off him.

Get rid of all your +acc, only have +3 dex, and then don't eat any food. Then maybe, if you try really hard, you can be as uber as that mnk.

Seriously, he was hitting like 25% or so, and that's with madrigal.

if prade was his 75mnk.. you wont hold hate very easily as a 71PLD..

im sure his criticals are meritied to hell.. and everything making him an even harder hitter or faster hitter.. i bet its all merited..

im sure he counted alot too, giving him even more hate.. and like someone above stated.. the mobs nice and squishy for him.. if he's constantly counter/critical.. hah.. your SOL..

p.s. hundred fists that doesnt take hate? either (1) he's got alot of -enmity or (2) he's got crappy gear and his hundred fists didnt do anything..

I had a mithra mnk that was bragging about how he/she was going to be pulling hate all the time in a party I was tanking as nin/war around 50 in the citadel. He/she didn't pull hate at all in the first half hour, then all of a sudden one fight used hundred fists at the start of the fight. He/she pulled hate for about 20 seconds, then the ni wheel got it back on me by the end of the fight. :)
