Strider Boots ~ No Mas (Quetzacoatl server)

Oy Vang..that's the worst thing I've heard in this game happen so far. I hate GMs....I mean they don't ban Gil Sellers, they don't stop MPKs, they don't recover stollen items...Damn useless!

As for this whole JA NA thing going on...They've had the game longer. I mean that's a big freakin reason why they're better. Am I better at playing the game then I was last January...yes. Am I going to be better next January...yes. Bleah I wish Humans could just be humans and get over this whole BS. I saw you arguing about the Racism last night and did see the stryder boots in your Bazaar for 10 mil...Oy I'll try to say something to a GM also when I get home.

I just have one thing to say.. I can understand you think shel was trustworthy and all from the given facts about the mentor flag up etc.. but what I don't understand is that you sent the item to her moghouse instead of trading up front, I for one, would sure as hell not send (in RL terms) a $2,000 item to someone who was rich and well known, only to get a message left on my machine saying sorry, I gotta go on vacation...

I surely wouldn't trade a high priced in game item through the delivery service XD

I would most definately beat this guys ass if he lived in my town (or state for that matter) for giggles i went to IGE and they are selling 8 million gil for 340 dollars.

My boots were worth that, hence its just like someone stole 340 dollars from me in a roundabout way. I dont know about you, but a major ass kicking would be in order if someone stole 340 dollars or 20 dollars for that matter from me ..... :x

edit* By the way someone can rip you off through trade option just as easy. Someone has to be trusting enough to confirm their trade before the other.

Couldn't the GMs just create another pair of strider boots and strike down the thief? I mean.... geez, it's in the freakin logs. And not like they can't check him for the items too. Sure, let them check the delivery system... of all the times it fails, it'll be the time with the 10mil item... What the heck are they thinking?

I think there are a lot more terrible GMS than good ones. I'm sorry to hear that. I've had two encounters with GMs and both have actually been good. however, short of getting myself suspended, I'd help out anyway I can... Fresh Majoram, individual deliveries?
 
I wish there was some sort of Escrow service in FFXI =p

An NPC that holds items from 2 parties then exchanges them once both people accept the deal... but I dont think SE will be hiring me for my ideas anytime soon...
 
Well i have caught alot of flak over at allakhazam for how i did it, and i knew i would.


But like i said no matter how you cut it, trading is risky and you can lose no matter what method you use. I took the risk and got hammered HARD.

I can only hope today he feels some sort of guilt and sends me my PCC or my boots back. I will check my inbox when i get home, although i feel nothing will be in it :cry:

I dont think i will ever get over it in-game......
 
how do you lose in a trade?

you put PCC

he puts striders

you click ok

at this point if he hits ok, trade over, if he takes striders out, it unclicks trade from you, so if he took striders out, then hit ok really quick, nothing happens...

The delivery box method is so shady in general. Well, I hope the guy gets what's coming to him. Most likely with our FFXI gods, he won't..... anyone about to quit the game? They could easily just keep MPK-ing them. Damn thieves... (NA and Japanese)

The irony is that the night before i took 3 of my ls mates to go camp VE for a buddy of mine to get him a pin just on a sudden urge to camp an NM for someone.

30 minutes later my buddy has a brand new Emp pin and no one even hesitated to pass it to him.

Then the next day for being in charge of the crew that got one of my guys a 500k + item I lose an 8 million gil item to a shady person..

What if we all stalked him... like just followed him wherever he went? I know that'd be a silly amount of time taken away from us... but yeah, if we just swarmed his character with like 18 models in an alliance, wouldn't that annoy him a lot? I wonder if that's even against the rules... because then technically people sitting on my exp camp is against the rules.

From my conversation with a GM, I learned that they can't check the delivery system...

Have you ever been suspended? If not, I say keep sending {GM}s tells, and whenever he's in a party, go have fun with shadowbind. And keep sending him tells, I'll send him a /tell this weekend when I can get on.

Oh, and yes it's possible to steal items from people by trading. After they put an item up, Put your item up. Immediately afterwards change that item with another item that looks exactly like it. If it goes right, you'll put up the expensive item, they'll move cursor over item and check to make sure it's the right item. Then, while they're moving cursor to hit OK, you swap the expensive item for a cheaper one that looks like it(ex. leaping boots->lizard ledeslens). Then you hit OK. Kinda hard, and can be done with gil as well. Like changing 8k to 3k. Kinda long post, sorry if it doesn't make sense. Oh, I know about this because someone tried to pull it on me, don't think I go around trying to steal items like batchporu.
