Strider Boots ~ No Mas (Quetzacoatl server)

I am sorry this happened vang, as many said the method of trade was kinda... stupid. also, considering striders haven't shown on the AH for nearly a month now... you could have sold them for 10mil and bought 2 peacock charms :p. anyway... now to the real reason i posted..

somone on page 2 was trying to defend horihori saying maybe 'she' (its a he) was jocking b/c of the www which indead is the japanese equivalent to lol. i just wanted to inform those in doubt that he is indeed a racistist jerk who goes out of his way to make trouble for non japanese players :( he and i were once in a linkshell together, and he spent most of his time making fun of 'gaijin', talking about how much they sucked, how fun it was to screw with them, and how he wished there were none in the ls (this was hnmpt right after the real influx of english speaking members started). Anyway, i just wanted to verify vang's representation of hori as a jerk as true...
 
Not only in the NA community but Horihori and Shel are also considered... ignorant in the JP comunity aswell. Some example:

Shel is known amoung the JP community of being "Big time Gil buyer", and also for being such a @sshole that many people simply stays away from him. Horihori aswell seems to be liying on the same category.

I spoke to shel today... he is such an awful liar... despite speaking to him completely in romaji I got the jist of what he was pulling -_-... he says he asked Vang to send to his mail while he was in an XP party, warps back to retrieve the boots, but tells him they never showed up in his delivery.

Shel goes on about how he probably made a name mistake on delivery... which is absolutely impossible... for one if you type in a name that doesn't exist on the server it will punt you back to the name entry box.

Two... even if he did send the boots to someone named Shell... or Sher...or some other simple mistake... they disappeared almost INSTANTLY after he sent them, no? Shel was already back in his mog house when the transaction took place... and they promptly vanished as soon as he told him to send the PCC and that he had sent the boots.

It doesn't take a fuckin rocket scientist... but I basically told him he's on a vast majority of the NA shitlist and to watch out. ;\ ... have fun guys. If the opportunity arises I won't hesitate to make his life hell either.
 
Strider Boots is not something where you send to delivery box as a proper transaction.
I am sorry to say this but it was silly to trust anyone with this expensive item although he or she might be rich.
It is certainly a hard lesson on you.
 
So Nasya and Svina have both verified facts that you should have known before hand. But wait, you didn't. Isn't it ironic, yet absolutely fitting, that the elitist Vang was so easily fooled? I find it absolutely histerical that of all people you were tricked so easily.The individual who claimed to know everything there is to being a ranger scammed out of a item that is so rare and so expensive just makes me burst into a histerical fit. Tell me Vang, of all the rangers that you have lashed out at, attempted to lecture, and then ignore - how many of them are so stupid to do what you did?

Of course you can refer to the FuriousAngel incident. However, that transaction was completed via trade window, not via mog house delivery. The difference there is that there was at least some element of "trust." You based your "trust" in Shel by the amount of money he/she has. And apparently all of that money is purchased from well known sources (i.e. IGE). So really now. You want to "burn this player at the stake?" Why? Remember, it was YOU that initiated that transaction. It was YOU that placed your strider boots in the delivery box window. It was YOU that hit the [send] button. Furthermore, it was YOU that made the decision to "trust" these players.

At any rate, I think I'll go ask Shel to "borrow" those boots as you think I will never be able to touch something that expensive. Hell... maybe you'll see me running around with your boots, but you'll never know. Best part is... as you think I'm poor, it'll cost me nothing if I convince them to let me "borrow" them.

So ... what are you going to do? What can you do?

I know I'm late on this one but.. lmao!!! That did happened to me when I first started, after reaching level 7 and I wanted to trade my bronze Harness to another new palyer for 400 gils.... lol spend 20 minutes doing that!
 
Any update at all Vang? I don't really know you, but this really pissed me off. Talked to Leg about it a little last night, he was pretty bummed too. I can't really offer anything but sympathy (which I know you don't want). For once though, I have to agree with Krono. I dont think it was a JP/NA thing, this person is just a flat out low-life jerkoff.

Please, everyone I think we can stop with the "that was really stupid" posts. Im sure at this point, Vang is well aware of that fact. Hind sight is 20/20 afterall.

How would you trust someone so quickly? The fact they dont wanna trade thru normal trade shouldve hit a few warning buttons.

Anways nonetheless it was Shel's fault for being a real bastard and a real c ockface if you ask me and taking your item when he can gil buy it since Shia already said he does.

Anyways, you guys do know that when you trade, and someone removes an item even if you pressed ok the trade is revoked right? RIGHT?
 
First off, I've grown to really dislike the GMs. I may end up just calling them up one day to fuck with them now. They do NOTHING!!!! I got moved out from under windy waters by a GM but... that's it. You got MPKed? Call a GM and he/she'll make sure they /tell the person with a reprimand. Get and item stolen from you? The GM will politely tell you that you are fucked in the ear but with prettier words. Got a problem with the gil sellers? Too fucking bad buddy, these assholes seem to want to HELP these guys as much as possible. This is one of the reasons I have seriously considered leaving this game, because the upholding of the Terms of Service takes second to having rule-breakers pay their 12.95 a month.

Second off, the fact that this guy is JP just tells me that he may have been learning to scam ppl longer. Assholes are prevalent in both nationalities, racists likewise. I see JP's with the JP Only thing up and i get offended, but I've also had to boot NA's for being racist in multicultural parties.

The bottom line is that this game is filled with assholes. And this kind of thing shouldn't be tolerated. I've seen everyone here saying "Oh yea Vang, MPK him" and "I'm sorry to hear this" and "J00 r a n00b st00pid!!! Dliveree b0x trad3???? lololol!!!!11111" In my personal opinion, we could make this guy's life a living hell even without MPKing him. /tell's and delivery spam would be my idea, but shadowbind and MPKing (god i hate to say this) could work well too. Worst comes to worst, someone gets suspended but who the fuck cares? Personally, I'll make sure to acquaint myself with this fuck job.
 
Its more like this server has alot of jerkish high end JP people. I mean TOP JP HNMLS look at them. The NA HNMLS people may know much more than I do but they are simply a pack of jerks. Horihori and Shel are no exception. In JP boards, the names like Lufel (Mostly known as the king of MPK, HNM stealing, LS loot hijacker and so on), Infa, Riza etc etc, many of these belongs to an HNM shell. They are bashing them everyday left and right...

As an advice from me. Those who are very very rich JP people are the last person to trust. I mean, would you trust Kurei? Who is said to be the richest (having 1billion Gil on him) person in the server.

Sure im elitist, that has nothing to do with making a bad decision in a trade scam. For once i thought the deal favored me and dove in on it while i got the chance. I paid heavily for it and now i get to deal with smartass punks who love to see the others lose, and lose HARD.

Yes Shia, ir's Kurei's LS that tried to steal King Behemoth from us. I think we have Drewtaru to thank for getting it back in the very very end. It's not a Japanese versus NA sort of thing, there were Japanese members in our alliance actually. It's just good guys versus bad guys. The general Japanese community is not laughing at you, possibly one LS of gil buying pricks is.
 
Damn Vang I just read all of that shit! I would of gotten banned that day if that shit happened to me. I would of ran around jeuno calling every jap well I think you could figure that out, and when a GM would to talk to me I would of told him to fuck off and go do something useful. Sorry man if I was still in game I would get banned for ya.

Dang Vang, that really sucks though. I truly hope it all works out.

I lost my first Raise III scroll sorta the same way (ie. del box to mule). My own stupidity though. Anyway, this is your thread so I won't go into it.

Er...I guess you must've trusted him alot...but yeh...so tired of GMs not doing crap..back before I quit I got a warning for "pulling trains of monsters" in Maze (was farming CarniCrawlers), JP DRG went and killed a good majority of the ones on me with Jump-spam and crap..and then he resumed following me and killing and/all links I got, which I actually needed since I AOE farm...but...yeh...-I- got the warning..


*edit* Think we have English GMs, I really dunno...some speak good english, but yeh...
But goddamn, these GMs are worse than Ragnarok Online's, and that takes SKILL.

Way..WAY off topic here but..Rooi buys gil..? If this topic was referring to gilbuyers or people hated in the JP community I would like to know what Rooi has a reputation of doing, or not doing. My friends thought, and still think that he's the best equipped person on the server.

Again, off topic, but I would indeed trust Kurei, and have before. He made me Winged Boots out of my Leaping for no charge, and I at that time knew his reputation of screwing out NA. He's actually quite social with me and whenever he comes back from his long AFK times he usually sends me a /tell letting me know he's back..
 
I trust some Rich JP.

Some of my JP friends are pretty loaded. Genius and Happy were I'm not sure if they still are tho.
