Well I thought this might be a fun topic... stuff that freaked you out as kiddo during movies...

Basically I thought of this after seeing Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was so happy they took out the crazy lighting part while they were on the boat unlike the 1970's version (correct time period?) I then talked with a lot of my friends who saw it with me how that freaked me out and most of them agreed, then we started talking about other movies. So I ask you, what freaked you out as a kid?

Example: (My personal freak outs!)

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 1970's: When wonka was on the boat with all the scary lights while reciting the evil poem complimented with flashes of footage was in the background... I swear I saw a chicken get its head chopped off there...

Pee-wee's Big Adventure: Two words... Large Marge. There was much hiding behind the couch cushions during this scene.

The Never-ending Story: The scary wolf in the cave ;-;[/b]
 
Dark Crystal - removal of the essence. Freaky!

Alien - Basically the whole movie.

Jaws - I was one of the millions of people afraid to go into the water.

Dreamscape - When the "evil" character turns into the snake-man within the dream..
 
Childs Play 1 and 2, after that they became just entertaining and not creepy.

Labryinth creeped me out too.

Dark Crystal was a great movie too, but I don't think it ever scared me at all.
 
As an adult, i watch movies for the fun of it. Not scared any more.. like i was as a kid. BUT....


When i was younger prolly around, 6-7th grade, i saw for the 1st time in my life the Movie by Steven King, "IT"


That movie scared the shit out of me.

Several of the movies already listed freaked me out. It is great knowing that it wasn't only me.

Ewoks Great Adventure - When that big monster killed the ewok I liked to have died. I slept in front of my parents door for a couple of weeks after that one

American Warewolf in London - The scene where he first changes in super graphic, and it diffently made an impression on me
 
as a kid, i was scared of anything bloody and/or gory. still am, actually. ^^;

the oddest movie i was scared of when i was a wee lad would have to be "the little mermaid". my parents said i'd always freak whenever i saw ursula.

Ohman! Me too! I was so afraid. Now I love wolves & dog-like animals. XD
 
When i was kid my brothers made me watch the first Creepshow>.<

OMG! almost every story scared me but especiallyt he cockroaches, I DON'T do cockroaches!

IT was a good one too, but i'm naturally scared of clowns.

Anyone remember Killer Clowns from Outer Space? That one freaked me out too, i avoided cotton candy for years!!
 
Anyone see that 3D disney movie with Michael Jackson in the early 80's? I remember watching this when i was 4 yrs old and was scared shitless.... Not scared of Michael Jackson (which maybe I should have been :P) but the monsters in this movie that came out of the screen at me. I'd have to take off the glasses at some parts I'd get so scared lol.

I was mainly terrified of the Freddy movies...and Killer Klowns From Outer Space :?

I actually saw "It" for the first time a month or two ago. God that movie's so cheesy...XD
