So my computer keeps rebooting it self and im highly positive its due to it overheating. When i check the BIOS it goes up to 203 F. Then it sits there for about 30 seconds and shuts off, i dont recieve any errors stating its overheating but there is no other reason for it. (using my wifes laptop). Any ideas, this all happened after an interna l fan fell off in my computer. I have taken EVERYTHINg apart and put it back together even re-sat the heat sink too.

Remove the heat sink, clean the CPU with alcohol, then apply some Artic Silver and reattach the heat sink. Had the same problem on a PC awhile back and the Artic Silver did the trick for me.

is that a type of thermal compound? i can get it at any computer store right?

No go did not work it is still going to 203 and shutting off :| any other suggestions.... i Think my PSU may have had a surge and gotten damaged and now is not pushing out the propper wattage/voltage :|

203F is way too hot for it to be a common overheating problem.

My suspicion would be that it's either a power supply or a motherboard problem. i'd get it examined professionally, if I were you

<-- A+ certified.. its not a pSU issue because ive tested it out i ordered a new processor to see if it is fried... if that doesnt work goin to get a new motherboard lol
