Today I was playing football. Today I attempted a slide tackle. Today I slid right through dog shit.

Despite the humiliation of this act, there is still an issue that could be discussed here. In the UK it is illegal to have your dog take a dump and not clean up after them, despite how difficult it is to enforce this, I believe this law is fair and just, not that I'm biased or anything.

What are your views? Do you have any ideas on how to make this law easier enforced, or do you want the law done away with completely and why?

(Was wondering if I should put it in general discussion but, I thought Reality Sinks In was more suited.)
 
My opinion is that you shouldn't have released this to the public, i mean you tackled through dog shit lol. I wouldn't like everyone to know that if I were you XD. But I agree with you that it's a nuisance and despite it being illegal, so many people just don't clean up after their dogs cause they know the chances of being caught and fined are slim.

I personally can't see how they can enforce the law any better anyway, council's usually provide special bins on grassy areas for this purpose and it's just down to the dog owner to use them.

Also talking on illegal acts, we all know that you tackled the dog shit with an illegal 2 footed challenge from behind XD I'm reporting you to the FA :D
 
I say you hide in the area of the poo and wait for the perp to come back to scene of the crime (You KNOW hardened criminals such as these ALWAYS return to the scene!) and then, when they do, you leap out and deliver a swift Pimp-hand of Justice to thier face, and a Foot of Righteous Fury to the pooch. After this, I believe they will understand the error of thier ways and repent for thier sin. Or if not, liberally reapply the Pimp-hand until they do.

At first I was interested because I thought you were playing REAL football. Then I realized that you are EU and probably meant that other sport. I think the sliding through dog shit was somehow symbolic....

I usually clean up after my dog. I have this thing, it's sort of like a key chain that attaches to the leash and holds a roll of poop bags. However, sometimes I run out of bags but the dog still has to go. So I just look up at the sky and pretend I don't notice he's pooping.

It's amusing to think that some kid might slide through it playing rugby later. Thanks for the laugh.

I go to a lot of lady Rugby matches and they look more like men than most men D:

To the OP: You slid into some dogshit, that sucks but it is no big deal... Most cities have those rules around here, but seriously who is going to call the cops on a dude/dudette for not picking up dog shit? Some people will abide by it because it is a law and some people wont because they do not have the respect of others. It should be there for the people who will abide by all laws but not enforced. I'd like to think if cops had time to enforce that law they could be doing something more productive in the community. Seriously though, haha, what is the big deal, you slid in poo... it is best to just laugh about it and go on about your life not wasting any time thinking about it.

Play without pads and you've got room to feel superior. I love me some american ball and all but ... rugby > american football. Got a chance to meet some guys from the aussie rugby team in middle-school when i did the student ambassador thing and went over there, went to the olympic training complex there, those dudes are hardcore.

.... soccer on the other thand .... i'm american what can i say, screw some soccer.
