Announcement Styles- Blackmage return (kinda)!

Been working on the BLM style lately and just want to let people know that I threw up what I have so far for the style. Image changes are still to come but for the most part I'm kinda happy.

Tried making the text brighter for people because I know that was a complaint but the white is like...really bright. lol I may have to change it. ;x
 
wtfaaaak. Getting text colors right for websafe (and looking good) is a bastard. lol
 
Yeah, for a minute I thought the theme was too dark, but the more I look at it I realize it's the white text that's actually blinding me.

That's what I've been saying from day one and people cried when it was grey. haha We'll get it working again. I know I saved a screenshot of the finished one somewhere, I'm sure Miros did too. Going to try and port the colors into websafe mode again. hopefully it will show up slightly better for everyone this time around. On the list of things to do soon.

I've still got the 3.8 version of the forums running that I use for reference. I'll change it when I'm not so lazzzzzy.
 
After seeing all the code values for color changes, I dont blame you for being lazy about it. i think you can use either #666666 or flip it, should be a decent shade of web safe grey. not on graphics compy so hard to cross check it here.

I've got the original one we used which worked pretty decent. I figure I'll just edit them when I'm at work tomorrow alone and bored. Something to do at least!
 
Everyone should give Miros a lot of extra love for the work he's doing on the styles. Its been confirmed that doing darker styles is darn near impossible at the moment because the idiots at vbulletin hard coded stuff into the templates.

So three cheers for Miros

And hell, she basically got all the colours and patterns for the BLM one. I just recreated it. xD

Honestly though good work you two.
 
All text should be that lavender color that the Forum headers are. That's the way the old BM style was and it worked brilliantly. No matter how you slice it white is just blinding with the Black Mage style. GL Misi and Miros and thank you for taking the time to bring the style back. :D
