500 single skills will unlock it.
I'm also saying that you get bonuses from Lv. 1-3 skillchains.

God, you're such an idiot. I had to do 500 skills, with chains. That amounts to 500 individual skills.

I don't know where you learned your math, but I'm glad I didn't go where you did.

You can ask Stigmatas or Ceasar about it. I was constantly chaining light off them, and it didn't do a damn thing in regards to any bonus.


And yes, they triggered for me when I counted out to 500 weaponskills as well, within 10 skills of my estimated current.

I'm the idiot? I unlocked my heart snatcher and the chains definitely gave me a point bonus. I don't know where you learned your math, because it's definitely wrong.

After my predicted 500 with lv2 and lv3 chains, I said screw it and soloed the rest. I spent several nights chaining off two seperate people for light chains while farming Ro'Maeve water, Ulli, and Despot.

It might be based on 1 hand and 2 hand weapons.

All I know is I had to do 500 skills to get mine working, and it took a very long time to do it.
 
From what i've read it works like weapons of trials.WS points unlock it also.So if u end a level 3 chain you get most points.Starting a chain is suppose to be 1 pooint or something.
 
You need to get 500 WS points to remove the latent effect. The points are gained as follows:

Solo-WS: 1 pt. (Any WS can be used)

Start LVL1 SC: 1 pt. (Reverberation, Liquefaction etc...)
Close LVL1 SC: 2 pt.

Start LVL2 SC: 2 pt. (Distortion, Fragmentation etc...)
Close LVL2 SC: 3 pt.

Start LVL3 SC: 3 pt. (Darkness, Light)
Close LVL3 SC: 5 pt.
