I have been looking for a different method of hair removal (shaving sucks!) but not really sure what to do. I thought about wax but I'm worried that my sensitive skin wouldn't react well to it. Has anyone here tried sugaring or have any other ideas?

whatever you do, stay away from nair and any product that is similar, lol

A former co-worker of mine that loathed shaving every so often got laser hair removal. The process just kills the follicules preventing the hair from growing back.

P.S. I didn't bother to ask what part of her body she got it done on.

You need NADS lol

Meh it was at work, on the clock, and not a looker lol.

I have sensitive skin as well, and I find that most cream based hair removals, such as Veet or Nair work fine if they're the sensitive skin formula and uh, depending where you put it. I've never tried wax because I'm a wimp. I get my eyebrows done and that's enough pain, I couldn't imagine my legs. I wanted to try sugaring, but to me its the same thing as wax, but I bet its a lot better for skin since its a sugary paste.

The only problem with creams is I find some times they don't remove all the hairs even after the time you leave it on, and this is a pain since you aren't supposed to shave before or after you use it. It says you can leave it on up to 10 minutes, but this is frustrating because you have to do a test patch to find when it is actually working. But everyone's hair is different, so you could give it a run.

P.S. If you decide to try sugaring, let me know how it works

The sexual overtone of this thread is fantastic.

What the hell is sugaring?

Thanks for the advice. ^^ I didn't mean for this thread to sound sexual. XD I just heard that other methods were better for the skin than shaving. Also, makes the hair grow back smoother. Zephayra I'll let you know if I try the sugaring. Still not sure which ones to try first.

Man, I'm glad I get to keep my hairy ass legs. I don't think I could handle the constant Waxing and all that. <_<

Well the place that I was looking at for the sugaring says that it's room temperature so it shouldn't be as bad as wax. I guess I'll have to see if I choose that route.

I think this has got to be the most female aura this board has ever had, lol.

::back on topic::

I find the creams and sugars are a larger annoyance than shaving. I'll keep my razor.

Haha...Once I thought about making a post about hair or something, but I thought "...no that's not something to be discussed on QCDN"

lol I thought about that when I first went to post this but it's something that I have been thinking about for a while. Usually there are some very informative posts on here so I figured some people here might have some good information. :) I'll refrain from posting stuff that is too girly.

Got to a salon and get waxed. Never ever wax yourself - it gets messy and the people that work at salons will know how to handle sensitive skin.

Creams are ew. If you're worried about your skin, the last thing you want to do is put strange, hair burning chemicals on it. Plus I think creams make regrowth irritable and possibly thicker.
