Suggestions for a new TV

I think I've settled on the 37" Samsung, though I did stumble upon this TV that's $100 cheaper. I didn't plan to buy anything until after my schedule at work returns to normal in about a week and a half, so I'll go around then and check out if they are priced differently then, see which is in stock, etc.

About the HDMI cable, I remember it being said here that there's not much benefit to paying for a namebrand, so I'll just order one off newegg instead of paying 50+ at the store.

Yeah, just grab cheap cables. There are a couple of situations where the expensive cables might be worth it, but for your purpose, brand doesn't matter.

Yup, I just bought 6 HDMI cables off of monoprice for ~$5 a piece.

Good to know they're dropping the prices, but I'd seriously hope they're dropping them for more than just their S series TV, since that's the lowest-end model they make.

Just put the Sony 32XBR6 on the shelf today at 1299, a full 200 lower than the XBR4 was, so I'd assume it's across the board.

Well, I went to Circuit City today on my day off and I picked up this. And if anyone is looking for a cheap HDMI cable, then you might want to try this one for only 10 bucks. It seems that even the people working there didn't know it was this cheap. Glad I checked the site last night.
