Ya its summer time again. And for 2 months i got nothing to do :/
Playing FFXI for 10489756126326 straight hours isn't fun ~_~

So, what's everone doing to get past the summer?
I might have to start working at my dad's office soon.

max, more kegs. we will party.

my friends and i are all mostly out of school by now, though we have a few stragglers.. what we do on the weekends is play organized sports lately (i know, holy shit excersize).. but shit like kickball, volleyball, its kind of fun when you have 20 friends all fuckin around and talkin shit to each other on the field..

see if you can get some people together and go play, you'll be suprised about how many people get into it..

and this weekend as a reward for the last months hardcore games, we have drunken field day this weekend.

Summer Time

Being in university, I have a 4 month summer break. If I don't keep myself busy, I'll go nuts.

My summer is really crammed, with or without FFXI, so I'll share some of what I do:
- FFXI as much as I have time for.
- Teaching a grade 10 Computer Sciences course at my old high school.
- Working on various other projects at the school, such as the CD Yearbook and Website.
- Working on freelance web design contracts for various people, finishing my last one this Sunday.
- Tending to my neighbour's property (mowing lawn, gardening, trimming trees/bushes) since he is going to be away the entire summer and he wants his property maintained.
- Running a LAN based static group twice a week for Champions of Norrath. This allows me to hang around with my friends quite a bit.
- I'm turning 19 soon (legal drinking age in Ontario), so I'll be going drinking every once in a while with my friends. I also meet up with friends for lunch every so often.
- Running a sparring group, usually linked with the Champions of Norrath group. That gets me some outdoor time.

That's all my brain is allowing me to remember right now. If I remember anything else, I'll edit this post.

work full time
go to rehearsals
performances
etc.

There is tons of stuff to do...I was actually brainstorming "Cheap/Fun" things with Josh the other night. We went to the Zoo for free, got one of those cheap "Murder Mystery Dinner Party" things off of Ebay - might host a Murder Mystery one night. I also got a bunch of board games for Christmas - I was thinking of having friends over and gets some drinks/snacks going while breaking those in. Also - going out to play pool during Happy our is always cheap....mmmmm - Happy Hourrrrr

Anyway, there is seriously so much to do to get out of the house, that isn't the plain old "go to the movies and spend tons of cash on popcorn" thing that evertyone seems to turn to when they are bored. Lots cities host some kind of free summer concert series as well.

Hope that helps a bit

The zoo is sooo much fun. Nothing better than pissing off a Gorilla that is sitting right next to the glass lol The Bronx Zoo is great...

I have a very busy summer coming up...

- Spending a LOT of 'personal' time with my girlfriend... a LOT...
- FFXI, obviously.
- Full Time summer job.
- Riding a short, fat horse named Evan. :o

EDIT: Forgot some things!

- Camping for a week with friends.
- Getting wasted almost every night.
- Other alcohol-related events...

(Damn, you gotta love being 16! :D )

Well for the summer, I’ll be spending time with my wife, taking care of the little one and relaxing what few minutes I get. aaaahhhh the married life.

Work fulltime, play FFXI, see a couple movies, see my family, random spurts of drunkeness, and suddenly it'll be fall.

I know my summer is packed... where to being...?

This weekend, my hockey team is going to Kentucky to play in a tournament. Hockey in Kentucky..... this is going to get interesting....

Next weekend... Muuuuuuuuuuusic Midtown!!!!!!!! The Killers, Interpole, and just a @#^load of other bands are going to be playing. My friend Ben is a jockey for 99X so I get to go backstage the 99X stage for free~! Also, theres nothing quite like going to a three day concert in the middle of metro Atlanta on a hot summer night! :D :D

June 28th is Road Atlanta Race Day. Going to enter a car my boss and coworkers have been working on since September last year. I wish they'd let me drive it... But hey, I get a team jacket and free beer all day, so... party on Wayne!

After that, July holds my vacation from work, and I'll be going to the beach for 5 days. Miami, here I come!

August, summer training begins for the fall hockey season... so basically thats where the fun really begins.

And yeah, I'll be on FFXI for a few days in there too.

Excim plays hockey? Sexayyyyy

/em salivates

/em readies Pounce

/em watches Excim and waits  mooowahahahahhaa

My summer was going to be perfect......then everything went downhill.
I just took the SAT today, and I believe I did much better this time. I was expecting today to be the climax and end of studying during the summer........I was wrong.

Theology III: A-
AC English III: A
French III: A-
Physiology: B+
US Govt.+Econ: A
Intro. to Music: A
Yearbook: A
Choir: A
Algebra 2/Trig: D+

So....I guess I can scratch June 6 - July 16 off my calendar, because I'm going to summer school! I guess I have to find an alternative Senior Service Project (I was originally going to be a volunteer couselor at Camp Spike n' Wave along with my friends, but that conflicts with summer school <3 [My Senior Service Project requires me to have 100+ hours of community service in order to graduate next year]) I was really looking forward to this...but oh well!

I hate algebra.............and life.

***Edit: oops! That's a D not a C***

-FFXI of course
-Training for a marathon
-Geting drunk with friends 1 once every 2 weeks probably, I'm the more conservative drinker of everyone.
-Part time working
-Sleeping 12 hrs at a time when possible
-And more training for a marathon and several shorter/faster road races.

God this is the last summer I have before i'm going to have to find a career. crap...

Well my line up is...
  • Find an internship, working another year at copymax(think kinkos) would suck.
    • Finish my thesis
      • Study Japanese
        • Play some games I've been meaing to beat (not playing FFXI because Its gotten boring again, considering cancelling for the 3rd time :p)

I just hope I get my thesis done this summer. I estimate I'm 80/200 hours on it or so.

http://209.0.50.248/ for those interested, keep in mind its a work in progress (getting close to 1/2 done)
