I've been playing FFXI since January 2004. I've enjoyed much and had my share of frustrations. As I have aged and changed, my time in Vana'diel has drastically decreased. It's still good to log on, yet I don't feel as engrossed. I've been considering writing up a Bucket List or things I want to complete before I cancel my account. With FFXIV rapidly approaching and all the crazy new levels in FFXI, I'm starting to doubt I'd even have enough support to be able to finish the list.

Unfortunately one of the things on my list is getting Summoner's Bracers from Dynamis-Bastok. The problem is that zone HATES me. Of all the times I've been there I've seen maybe ONE pair drop and someone else was ahead of me. Every time I am unable to attend a Dynamis-Bastok run, those cursed hands RAIN, up to 6 in one evening. Yeah 6!!!! I don't know why I continue to torture myself for the sake of completeness. But I want those damn hands!!!!

Bah... I don't know. I find it difficult to leave everything behind even though I'm not there all the time anymore.

Sounds to me like your flame is against Fate. And yes, Fate is a cruel mistress. We should blacklist her.

But SMN hands also drop in Dynamis-Buburimu, which is by far the easiest of the CoP zones, and NQ stuff drops like candy in the CoP zones. Maybe you'll have better luck there?
 
I had the same problem with the horn. It seemed like whenever I missed a run, 2-3 would drop. It was like that for a year. XD I almost gave up then it dropped finally one night.

Give someone in the LS your cellphone and have them call you when the hands drop so you can log ASAP and lot (gotta have an LS mule outside the area for late entrance and be at running distance from the PC/360/PS3). I give you this example because I saw it being done for WHM Body at Xarcabard. All members of the LS will have to agree to it thou.
 
The relic is like summoning magic skill-ups. It happens, just not for you. XD
 
Tre; ya know what I thought'd never drop for me?

WHM relic pantsu. For a while, either they wouldn't drop in jueno or someone else would get. But they finally did drop.

I'm here for you tho, if you want to level or something look me up :D


Oh and I'll add, my current "ARGWON'TDROP" is a frustration I think a lot of whms share. WHM relic acc. I've only seen it TWO times and both times I lost the lot. Next time Qufim, next time *shakes paw!*

Yeah, Cleric's belts just don't ever drop. I was exceedingly lucky to actually get one, and that was after waiting for it for 3 years and being in two Dynamis shells. The only reason I did get it was because the person in line ahead of me passed it to me (I guess since I am a career WHM, and for him WHM was just one of his like 10 jobs that he rarely played). I still owe him a huge favor for that...
 
Divinius, the player who allowed you to get the piece has my respect. He must play just like I do, because I gave my lotting spot lots of times to many people in my Dynamis history. But it was good to read all those thank you /tells. I really hope Treasa's luck in Dynamis-Bastok change, because all I learned from in my years in that damned place was that it's a place of bad luck, greed and death...
 
sometimes i wonder if there's a preset amount of drops programmed for month in dynamis so many zones will only drop X amount of something till next month

since we seem to have excess amounts of cleric and sorcerer's belts. . .@_@';

but not much sam, smn, nin, mnk. . .


but we get plenty of hooker and nerd drops!!!

Yeah, you'll get yours eventually. I actually got mine free lot, I hadn't even unlocked smn yet and I got em. It's just luck sometimes. When you want something in dyna, you don't get it. When you don't want it, thats all that drops. At least that seems to be the case for me...
