Summoning Magic?

If SE does as Winklewil theorizes, which does seem the most plausible outcome, I wouldn't call it a nerf. Every job has a main skill that it's responsible for keeping up to par. It'd just be putting Smn on the same level as other mages. Just like there are some blms who keep their dark magic and enfeebling magic capped and others who are lucky if their elemental is even capped, there are some summoners who put forth the effort to keep their one and only skill near cap and others who might have a few months catching up to do in rolanberry fields before they can party again. Ideally what SE would do is put the optimum summoner performance at a bit higher than current, maybe capped skill would be 110% effectiveness - reward the summoners who did their duty when there was no reward for it.

Don't forget that even if they make it the way Winklewil's saying, I'm sure if theres no upward benefict to the skills, current effectiveness would be at capped skill. But don't forget Summoning Magic+ gear exists, which would probably push it over in to a beneficial update.

Would probably nerf physical, buff magic moves to some extent.
The biggest problem pet jobs have is that there isn't enough equipment available to enhance pets on par with how other jobs benefit from gear..
