Super Bowl Cheaters

Not gonna bother reading your NFL related posts, after reading this. GG

So tell me why the refs took aditional time to review the snowbowl play when the rules clearly state 2m (or 90 secs, whichever it is).

cheats or not i still love my pats... the camera filming didnt have anything to do with the jets getting their aszes handed to them.

If you think the Patriots are the only team who does this you need to slap yourself and wake up. They are the first to get caught, in this manner, but stealin' plays is nothin' new, everyone tries. The only thing bad here is how they did it because it's so blatant and stupid. Though I really dislike the Patriots, they'd be winning without the competitive advantage. They are just a solid team with probably the best coach to ever step on the field. Everything they do is sharp and on cue, they're just a well built team.

In response to Strid's post,

I would have to say Bill Walsh 4tw. R.I.P. Coach

Also Belicheck's integrity is tarnished. I wonder how many more will get caught.

Belicheck deserved to get caught. He really thought he could pull that shit on a team that has at least two people who worked for him at one time. One of them is thought to have been the guy who taught the camera man who got caught. Belicheck was too bold and stupid.

There is even more to that horrible call then you have said Meeze in the snowbowl. Even if they took all that time to review and also called the ball down. The play should have never been called down over. Raiders got screwed period.

Maybe for you but I bet not for the majority. Most people who watch football realize he'd win either way. They also know this isn't uncommon practice, his team just got caught. Instead of sittin' in a booth with a scope he got ballsy and put the guy on the sideline. Every team looks for competitive advantages. Cheating is usin' steroids, sneakin' items onto the field to hurt someone, etc. not stealing plays. If you think this is bad, how come there is no mention of the ear piece in most key players helmets allowing people from up top and on the sideline to relay split second messages, etc. Every team in the NFL does this. Hell, this isn't even my own opinion. ESPN commentators basically share the same views. Being old coaches and players, I'll take their look on things like this everytime.

All of that aside, what would a 4 game suspension mean for the coach? His team is still goin' to perform the same. One coach gone, even the head coach, will make no difference. Hell, Tom Brady could run that team with no problems.

I am not hoping the majority holds this view since every one is entitled to their own opinion in the end. I personally lost respect for Belichek since a large part of the game is strategy. If you know which play a head coach, coordinator is gonna call then that certainly takes a lot of the thinking off of you. Of course there are always pre-game training and video review before the game at which you can make speculation and formulate a particular path to follow that would break the team, but knowing the opponent's call is basically knowing the future for that play thus leading to your advantage.

same goes for the panthers :P

Sry i know the pats still had to be good to get as far as they did, but you cant help but wonder if they used this as the key advantage to getting in possition for yet another vinatieri game winning field goal.

Like I've said many times, every team does this in some way. From the worst, to the best and even your Panthers. It's just about executing and the Pats happen to be great at that.

And should the panthers get caught doing it, they should get the same harsh punishment that the pats are getting. My opinion doesnt chagne b/c its against my team, so untill that time im going to have to question the dominent success of the pats. Afterall they arnt exactly known for blowing teams away, just by short narrow or standard victorys by 7 points. So i suspect they only pulled the play reading card when they needed to, to get the win.

Ps: dont waste my time tellin me of one or 2 games they whiped somone
30-0.
