The trailer just recently hit Youtube...

There are some changes though compared to the original Batman/Superman/Justice League universe.

It's been confirmed this is not within the previous established animated series, thus Lois knows Clark's identity. Also people are saying to not expect any other cameo's, it's a straight Superman vs. Doomsday fight.

Here's some more info...

Superman: Doomsday features the voices of Adam Baldwin ("Independence Day") as Superman/Clark Kent, Anne Heche ("Men in Trees") as Lois Lane and James Marsters ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") as Lex Luthor, and will be available for $19.98.

Produced by Bruce Timm (Justice League Unlimited, Batman:The Animated Series) and written by Duane Capizzi (The Batman, The Batman vs. Dracula), Superman vs. Doomsday is inspired by the best-selling graphic novel of all time, DC Comics' "The Death of Superman".
When the intergalactic serial killer Doomsday is unearthed, Superman meets the creature head on in the battle to end all battles. Going punch for punch, Superman finally ends the threat of Doomsday as he throws one last punch and collapses forever, making the ultimate sacrifice to save Metropolis and all those he once loved.

Superman: Doomsday will be available exclusively on DVD with collectable packaging as well as over 70 minutes of incredible DVD extras.
The DVD will be available to buy on 9/18/07.

Here's hoping they pull this off really well, now that the "Timmverse" is pretty much over.

I must have read The Death of Superman a hundred times. I was just a kid when that came out. My parents got it for me for my birthday and after reading it, I got mad at them because Superman died. I still have the book somewhere in my parent's house.

I hated the way they treated the superman/doomsday fight in Justice League. I always thought JL was a pretty solid show but the whole "talking Doomsday, lobomoty" thing just pissed me off.

I hope this is good.

I'm really pumped by all this new DVD projects DC is currently working on (Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is the next in line after DoS).

You know something? After they said the look would be different, I was expecting something completely different. But after I saw the trailer (which was awesome) I noticed the look is almost the same. Down to the design of vehicles and the city, not to mention Superman... But still a good movie, looking forward to it.

ps. I hope they make a Blu-Ray version.

Oh, forgot to mention the story includes the Reign/Return storylines. Look at Supes in the black costume with long hair.

EDIT: Dam, saw the trailer again:

"Only on DVD" ; ;
