Sweet Level 69 Exp Advice

Hey All!

I never use this "General Discussion" board,so I hope this is in the right spot...

*Does anyone know of any good exp spots level 69 THAT ARE NOT in Bibiki Bay or Den of Rancor? (We are so sick of these places, it is insane) :crazy:

We were thinking Sky, but my lvl 65 static went there last night and cleaned up, so I am assuming it would be too low for 69's...

Our party set up is:
RDM
WHM
BLM
PALLY
MONK

and then 2 jobs that we pull in....usually a thf and another DD...

Any advice would be well appreciated! <3

Ha, I'm running through all the zones in my head and can't guess
what "TBT" is either. ...but it is the first thing in the morning and
I can hardly see the monitor...

As you level higher your options are pretty much limited because worthwhile prey starts disappearing and XP is less than impressive, not to mention all the overcrowding at those levels these days. Once you get to 73+ you're pretty much limited to Sky, U. Range (shitty walk to a good camp but I like fighting demons), Lufaise Meadows and MNK cannons in KRT.

Everyone gets sick of Bibiki Bay and Den of Rancor.

Blazn's Boyhada Tree reference was probably actually a reference to Dragon's Aery, which is iffy around 70. I only went to Kuftal Tunnel to fight cockatrices and tigers once. I spent more time in Cape Terrigan against manticores because the NIN I was partying with for a while loved those guys. Their max MP down attack is a bitch though. I'd sub WHM for Kuftal or the Cape, unless you want Escape for the dungeon.

nah you can do crawler in the tree till then also the fly i belive around that lvl. if you all 69 could posibly get away with kufal tunnel tiger/cocks as well

I did kuftal tunnel at 66 and decoweapons in sky at 69.
Goes to show how much better ninja and bard is over
paladin and redmage. I also remember dragons aery somewhere
around 70. At 69 Ro'Maeve is decent to. Oh and the gobs in
newton movalpolos should be IT at that level if i remember
it right.

Here's some leveling spots, the level listed is the last level where you'll get a minimum of 98 base exp per kill, and should move on to another camp. Prime range for most parties is 2-3 levels down from level listed.

70 Tormentor - Den of Rancor

71 Greater Manticore - Cape Teriggan 
72 Bark Tarantula / Darter - Dragon's Aery 
72 Ovinnik / Greater Cockatrice - Kuftal Tunnel 
73 Apocalyptic Weapon / Infernal Weapon - Ro'Maeve 
74 Decorative Weapon - Shrine of Ru'Avitau 
74 Aura Statue - Shrine of Ru'Avitau (Nexus entrance) 
74 Kindred Demons - Uleguerand Range 
74 King Buffalo - Uleguerand Range 
75 Hobgoblin Angler - Bibiki Bay 
75+ Abraxas / Tavnazian Ram - Lufaise Meadows 
75+ Aura Statue - Shrine of Ru'Avitau (Ulli Camp)

Kuftal was one of my favorite zones to exp in both as rng and brd, and since you have a whm (stona for Cockatrices) you can milk that zone til at least 72.

lol i ran into a couple bad steam of party around this time but i did moon around that lvl to but i prefer vt it over it++ justbecause exp faster. nin+rdm :bb:

73 Apocalyptic Weapon / Infernal Weapon - Ro'Maeve

I would say you could start there 69-70. They are only VT at 73. Never a shortage of mobs there if camp in the right spots.

And that's what I get for skimming. My mistake. Stouter did mention that.

I think the judcator demons in Castle Bailies are good at this point too, and everyone loves killing demons.

Gustav Tunnel skeletons are nice at that level as well.

We ended up doing Ovinnik / Greater Cockatrice - Kuftal Tunnel , and the EXP ROCKED!!!!!!!!!! WAY WAY WAY better exp, chains, availability of mobs,etc. Than Bibiki and Den. THANKS AGAIN!!!
